The BESSEY 24 in. TG Series was invented and patented by BESSEY in 1936 and, has been continuously updated and improved ever since. It has been a recognized standard wood shop tool for decades because of its durability and builds quality. Each BESSEY TG clamp comes standard with an anti-slip system. This includes a set screw that is molded into the sliding arm and interlocks with the serrations on the rail to prevent the clamp from slipping. The corrugated malleable cast iron fixed jaw and sliding arm generate powerful, rigid clamping force. Top jaws are fitted to the rail with no mechanical fasteners to loosen up over time while the powder coating protects against corrosion. The high quality steel rail comes from BESSEY’s own German steel drawing plant. The steel bar stock’s profile acts as a reliable reinforcement against torsional forces, while the serration on six faces additionally prevents the clamp from slipping. Smooth running spindle with Acme thread provides more clamping with less effort. Finally the pressure pads can be easily changed without tools.

This bar clamp was surprisingly lightweight, rugged, and ergonomically sound. I particularly appreciated the wood handle, which provided a perfect grip, as well as a secure and sturdy feel.I have never used one of these clamp tools before, and yet found it relatively easy to operate. I have had this product for about 8 days, and given its cost and ease of functionality; and, considering the fact that i am a novice DYI’er, this product exceeded all of my expectations.

In my opinion, this version of the Bessey clamp is one of the best clamps made! The only issue is not applying too much pressure!

So far so stout. The Tradesmen series (of which HD sells in both 24″ and 40″ lengths) are girthy clamps with a simple locking mechanism that’s been around for decades. The wooden handles are larger in diameter making that final twist much less taxing on my knuckles. IN full cinch, only slight bending is noticable in the bar. The contact pads are wide enough not to leave much of a scuff on your wood. Nothing like a German-made tool. I’ll be buying a few more for sure.

My “third hand” in building a ground level deck. Low/thin profile makes tool very versatile – can get into spaces standard C-clamps can’t get into.

This is the gold standards of clamps to have in your shop. The TG series are made in Germany not China. Only wish Home Depot kept a better selection of Bessey TG series clamps in their stores.

This is a good clamp, but I am not in favor of the wooden handle. My arthritic hands just could not grasp it properly and use this clamp to its full potential. I returned this item to the store and bought another Bessey clamp which had a more comfortable handle but, albeit only had a 3 1/2″ reach.

I found this clamp to be of superior quality. It seems like it will last forever. I have used it on several projects. It’s easy to adjust and grips very firmly and evenly, just like you’d expect a good clamp to do.

I already have several smaller Bessey clamps which have been great. This one is a great addition for larger jobs. It is very strong, easy to use and holds fast. This model does not have the squeeze ratchet, but just depends on tightening the clamp to hold the moveable bar in place. It is quicker to use, but sometimes less convenient. Both types are useful.

I needed a very strong and wide clamp for cabinet doors. This product did the job very well .

Quick release and slide. Good pressure and hold strength

Did the job I need done with ease. I will not be using it that frequently in the future. If I needed to use it more frequently, I probably would have upgraded to a more expensive model.

You no what they say you can never have enough clamps so when I see a sale I buy a pack . I like the ones that are made in Germany , nice and hefty they get the job done. I also like the bar clamps that have the legs on them ,it makes them easier to turn the handles when gluing up panels .The next ones will be the 36 inch clamps or longer when a sale comes up.

These clamps are very good. Rubber tips are great for working with finished woods.
