This rapid acting 23 ft. strap clamp makes clamping round or irregular shaped objects a much easier task. Clamping irregular shapes with strap clamps is not a new idea; however, most clamps of this style exert force (pull) in only one direction and this can easily distort the work piece. The BESSEY VAS-23+2K is different as it pulls equally on both ends of the strap, eliminating the chance of distorting your work piece to one side. The high tensile woven polyester strap is extremely strong and there is a built in take-up reel that neatly stores the excess strap.
- An excellent tool for clamping round or irregular shaped objects
- Strap is drawn simultaneously from two sides to ensure pressure is applied equally
- Integrated rewind mechanism that neatly stores excess strap
- 4 twin-tilting pads are variable in a range from 60 degrees to 180-degrees
- Woven polyester strap with 1000 lbs. tensile strength is resistant to tearing

If you are making a picture frame or a dinning room table, this clamp will meet your need, simple to use and applies equal pressures to all sides. One strap clamp like this can replace several clamps on a big job. I had a cheaper make of one of these and so glad I stepped it up and got a Bessey!

No Instructions.I don’t know what to expect from this. I ‘think’ I’m using it correctly, but frankly I’m just guessing because the folks at Bessey don’t include instructions. Seriously? You’re almost begging me to return it. How difficult is it to include instructions so folks actually know how to use your products correctly? You lost a star there. And another star for putting it in that child-proof, adult-proof packaging that takes the force of a thousand scissors to open.

No instructions, just figure it out on your own. Thanks to YOU TUBE, but crank the red handle to move tension indicator up max, then take up lack with small plastic crank. Now turn red handle to increase tension. BESSEY loses for no instructions.

The clamp does the job. However, the one bad thing about it is the crank handle that is supposed to be used to retract the strap. It is completely useless, because it’s nearly impossible to turn it. The crank handle is too short, so it doesn’t work. You have to retract the strap by hand, which isn’t a problem. I’m just not sure why they put the worthless handle there, because it just gets in the way.

Sorry I have not tried it yet, but it appears to be just what I need to srtap wood pieces together after gluing them.

Simple to use, worked perfect just like a product you buy and expect it to work. I would recommend it to others. 20 years in the hardware business I think it was worth the money.

This is a great clamp, although not cheap. I do some wood working and build a lot of boxes, panels, frames etc. I use 45 degree connections so my usual clamps are not easy to use. This is a great versatile clamp, with a lot of tension. I have another cheaper and simpler one, which I use, but this one is much better. This is the second one that I buy. Bought it at HD because it was right there and I needed one. Might check other places.

Work great for hexagonal shelving

An absolute must have when making picture frames or boxes or any kind. Be sure to use a square on the inside while gluing up a piece. I like to clamp towards the middle of a box and just use some scrap to prop up the heavier handle and spool portion as not to pull on the strap while waiting for glue to dry.
