Ratcheting hand clamps differ in that they work in an opposite fashion to regular spring clamps. It is your hand that provides the clamping force, and the spring forces the jaws apart when the quick release trigger is pressed. They are available in two sizes; 2 in. and 4 in. capacity.

These clamps have pretty good clamping power for small ratcheting clamps. They’re easy to release under pressure unlike some other clamps. I’ve only had them for a month but they’re holding their own after several high stress applications.

This is a very handy tool when working by yourself. helps by acting like a third hand to hold and support things. It’s quick and easy, but it isn’t super strong as far as clamping power but works great for temporarily holding things in place.
