This product works great. Purchased three and will use two as stocking stuffers for our kids. I love the auto extend feature. It was perfect for using when we were measuring the wall for bookshelf installation. This left a hand available to mark the wall where the anchors could go. I was able to measure all by myself. Definetely a useful product.

The B&D Auto tape measure is as described. It functions well and proved quite useful to me as I am often working alone on projects around the house and acreage. Being able to run the tape out and retract partially beyond the reach of my arms is often useful.It will not replace all of my other tape measures. By necessity the tape measure is large in size and relatively heavy compared to other tape measures. I certainly would not want to hang it on a belt loop for many jobs.Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

I purchased several of these auto tape measures after receiving one as a gift. It does everything it is advertised to do and more. It will also extend past seven feet without bending. It is like giving you an extra hand when you need to measure something.

I bought 3 of these for fathers day presents. I have already used mine and it is working great. It works really well, when you are trying to do a project by yourself. The first project I used it for was hanging shelves, and it was great not having to use my foot to keep it at baseboard while measuring. It was also nice being able to run the tape out to the end of the shelf before I cut it.I would give it a full 5 stars if it was lighter.

It is heavier and bulkier than most tape measures. When working alone, it is worth it’s weight. Remodeling my barn – it was just the right item to measure the roof from peak to eave from a ladder. The same when measuring the distance from the peak to the top of the door. Otherwise I would have had to walk the roof and climb through the rafters.

The is a GREAT tool/gadget! The item comes with its own AAA bateries, but they didn’t work. I installed new AAA batteries and the B&D Auto Tape Measure works exactly like it says on the package. It makes it so much easier for one person to do job. The item is a bit heavy, but you get use to it. I can’t wait for Christmas to give these out as gifts, even to my single female friends!
