I needed a good inexpensive circular saw and I brought this one, since I already had some other B&D 20 volt tools. It does a very good job cross cutting 2 X 4s and 2 x 6s but not good for ripping. I purchased a new DeWalt 24 tooth blade and tried to use it to trim down one side of a new solid wood interior louver door but it stalled out after just going a couple of inches. All I had was the 2 amp 20 volt battery, I read on other reviews where they were using a 4 amp battery, that may help the job or ripping wood.

No Problems

Great saw for around the house. If doing a larger project I’ll stick with my trusty electric, but this little saw zips through most things like 3/8” plywood or 1×12’s just fine. Battery life varies with difficulty of cutting but in general lasts plenty long enough. I would definitely recommend this tool.

For the VERY low price I paid for this too, it meets expectations. I wanted this saw as a light-weight circ saw for small odds and ends work in the garage without needing to pull out the big plug-in framing circ saw. Power is decent though it does cut out on tougher jobs, like cutting a sheet of 3/4″ plywood–but it’ll get the job done eventually (just gotta go slow). I wouldn’t use this to build a deck, but it’s perfect for random tasks like making garden stakes, cutting 2x4s for small projects, etcs.My biggest complaint is that the deck is quite flimsy. Apply a bit too much pressure on the handle and your cuts will not be square to the surface.

Have not had long, only used a few times but operated great. Plenty of power on 1 x wood.

Got this saw about a month ago. Features are as i had expected. Battery life is within reason. Really like the ease of the convenience wihout a cord.

This saw pretty well met what I expected however the saw is actually left handed. I.e. Moter is on right ,blade on left when holding it . Safety buttons seem to be on the touchy side but not a deterrent. Has adequate power but cannot be pushed to hard into material being cut . Seem well made but not terrible powerful. Still I would say it’s OK

I bought this item to cut some 2×4 ‘s and this product gets the job done! I was worried it’d be heavy like the one my husbands dad loaned us, but this one is so light, my arm doesn’t get tired after 2 8 ft long boards!

Impressed with the power, especially from a battery-powered saw. Cut through the wood like a corded saw. I’d recommend!

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago. It works great for what I wanted it for. The blade that came with the saw I didn’t like, it seemed to pinch too easily. I purchased a better blade made a tremendous difference. It’s still a light duty saw and I don’t push it like my big circular 7 1/4 inch corded saw. It is so easy to use and light weight. Love it.

Some time ago, I decided to standardize my cordless tools to B&D 20-volt MAX in order to share batteries. I now have B&D weed eater, drill, chainsaw and now circular saw. I have a collection of six batteries that are interchangeable. Having this many batteries makes the circular saw a good fit for use at my off-the-grid property on the mountain. Having a battery powered saw takes a little getting used to. It is a little difficult to follow a line using the guide hole with the blade. I usually peek to see actually where the blade is engaging 2x4s or plywood. My cost was held down because I already had batteries and chargers. I bought a plywood blade and have used it along with the blade that was supplied. I was glad to have home delivery.

This is a good light cordless circular saw. I used it to cut 5 2x4s and 1 plywood sheet and the battery lasted for the entire job. I wouldn’t use to build a house but this is a good choice for small projects that don’t require a large saw.

I live in a Condo and needed s small circular saw for small DIY projects. This fit the bill perfectly although I really wish it came with s storage case or bag.

Love this saw, for the little work I do away from an outlet this works great. One can’t beat the B & D quality. Price was right too.
