Really like the battery read out on the top of the drill. And the drill/drive option. It felt solid in my hand. But, was not a fan of the autosense feature at all tho. It would stop driving when it was at the length that it thought I wanted it. But, since theres no way to change or set that feature, it was usually wrong.. Which just made the job more difficult. I ended up returning it.. Drill would have been great if the autosense feature could be turned off or adjusted

I Purchased this drill because of its size and weight, as well as longer battery hold life due to lithium ion battery. This tool replaces my rechargable screw driver and older ni cad drill. I only need the use of this tool occasionally, and I have found that the Li-Ion Battery doesn’t rapidly discharge, so I can use it when I need it without waiting to charge it up for the job at hand.

I just wanted to write a quick review of this drill. It irks me that someone gave this a one star rating when they probably don’t know how to use the tool correctly. This does take a little practice but what I can say is this is a great little driver. I mean little because it is small. Not much bigger than the Dewalt 12v Max drill. This is actually quite perfect for drywall work, and any type of woodwork. It has a fuel gauge and clearly shows what mode your in, the chuck doesn’t ratchet but when I played around with it, I used a 1/2″ spade bit…old and dull and bored a bunch of holes through it no problems. I used the auto sense feature and it does exactly what it is supposed to do when it hits resistance…stop…drive…stop…driveThis is a great drill. I bought it not because I needed it but rather saw a review on it and thought “hey…that’s pretty cool”. It won’t replace my Festool drills or Impact guns. It’s just a great little drill that’s comfortable and easy to use and chock full of features that will make there way to other brands.Cons….no ratcheting chuck, no belt clip, battery takes forever to charge. But you know what? Who cares? This is an awesome tool and you can buy another battery to keep you going while the second one charges.

I was very impressed with the power of the driver/drill. I have another brand cordless driver and it has comparable power, but it is much larger. This one is much smaller and fits into tighter spaces. Granted that’s not always an issue, but when it is this thing is great.

I got this drill to replace a larger, but underpowered Black and Decker unit that I’ve had for a couple of years…. What a difference a couple of years can make in the tech available and advancements in battery power! This drill is smaller, and more compact, but feels actually more sturdy… Has a battery indicator at the top, which is a HUGE bonus… (no more surprises when I suddenly have a project to do, and find out I have a dead drill), and this unit has a light that comes on when you start to do your work which illuminates the area you are drilling/driving! EXCELLENT unit!!!

I love this drill. I’ve had numerous drills over the years, both corded and cordless, and I’ve always been impressed with B&D’s evolution. This drill has enough power and torque to take care of most home improvement projects. I love the ergonomic handle — it first perfectly in my hand, reducing fatigue. The illuminated drill/driver symbols on the back are a nice touch. The illuminated battery charge indicator is also a great feature. The autosense is an excellent feature. It allows ample precision for driving screws and while using it during my project today, I felt like I finally had that third hand. The unit looks cool. The charger works quickly; the lights are clear and easy to read. The battery snaps securely onto the drill and ejects easily with a good-sized orange bar. The charger snaps securely unto the battery, which, again, looks awesome.
