This was the first Black+Decker 20v tool I purchased and have really enjoyed it. It’s surprising how powerful the drill really is in such as small package. The best feature is the simple drill/screw settings, and they work well. I have 2 other Black+Decker drills and this is the one I use 90% of the time.

In the 1950’s you bought a Black and Decker if you wanted good. Somewhere in the 70’s they began to produce homeowner grade. They almost took themselves off the map. With this 20 volt drill they are back on the map. I own many types and brands from junk to overpriced. This one is not overpriced but works with the best. I have yet to run a battery down (been close though) Great power. Superb weight. Fits your hands impeccably. Please keep up the good work.

When I bought this I said to myself this AutoSense is a gimmick but to my surprise it actually works well! It’s voodoo magic makes dill stop just as screws become flush, if you want to sink a bit under then give a quick squeeze. Drill has plenty of power, battery has good length, drill is much lighter than my last 18V drill and the AutoSense is the icing on the cake. I have yet to find anything I dislike about this drill.

I got this for woodworking and odd jobs around the house. I just wanted a reliable cordless drill and this was much nicer than I expected. The size is fairly compact (see pic) which makes it convenient for all jobs and light enough that your hand/wrist doesn’t get tired using it. The weight is also very well balanced. It has plenty of power for drilling and driving. It has a very nice hard-rubber grip to it that is comfortable and very grippy. On the top you can select either drilling or driving and when you select either, or pull the trigger, a battery indicator lights up. It comes with the standard reversible driver bit that attaches to it. The recharger is very compact – much smaller than the battery (which is not huge). This is really nice because you can easily fit the charger in any toolbox or drawer with out taking up much space.The Autosense is really amazing. I didn’t think it would work as well as it does. In driver mode, if you just hold the trigger it will automatically stop when it senses the extra tension from the screw being flush. I have never had it push too far. Most of the time it will stop perfectly. If it stops short and you continue to hold the trigger it will begin turning in about 1/4 increments with a pause in between. This way it will make slight, automatic adjustments until it is just right – very nice.I’m very happy with this and would definitely recommend it.

I bought this drill in June of 2014 to replace a 1991 Skill 12 volt drill and it still works great. The auto sense is great and stops just as screws become flush and if you want to sink them a bit lower, just give the trigger a quick squeeze and it turns the screw about 1/4 of a turn at a time. The drill has plenty of power, the battery lasts a long time on a single charge and is much lighter than my last drill.

I picked up this drill a couple months ago after my daughter broke one and my husband lost the charger for the replacement I bought. Sigh. I just let them Frankenstein the two of those and got myself this nicer one. I’m no contractor, but I enjoy light home improvement and DIY projects. This drill is so much more powerful than the other 12V model, and makes jobs quicker and so much easier. It seems like this one takes just a tap of the trigger and things are tightened, and the AutoSense feature really does work. I find it helpful when tightening screws in areas that are awkwardly positioned or hard to see. Unlike the others, it doesn’t get hot with prolonged use. I’m glad I spent a little more, and nobody’s allowed to touch this one.
