I’m not a contractor, but I worked in construction years ago. I am always working on something around my home and I have a rental house, so I abuse a lot of power tools. Most of my tools are Dewalt, except my worm drive Skil saw and this drill. A few years ago my wife bought me a Craftsman ‘Bolt-On’ drill as a gift to replace an older Dewalt. Since this Craftsman was a 20volt (and of course from wife) I decided to keep it and give it a go. I have a gang of the attachments and batteries and the Craftsman came with a quick charger. Recently I finally killed that drill. Burned it up. I was building a new deck on my rental house and got the drill really hot. It was a pretty warm day out and I had been running it back to back battery changes one after another. Using the Skil saw attachment, impact drill head, standard drill head and God only knows how many battery changes. Using the quick charger and several batteries keeps you going all day! By the end of the day, it had enough. I really wanted needed a new one with an LED light and the Craftsman model didn’t have a light. I really didn’t want to get rid of all my attachments so I looked to see if Craftsman had a newer model with a light. To my disappointment they didnt. But, I saw the ‘Matrix’ model by Black-n-Decker. So I did some on line research and it appears these products are both almost identical! The Black-n-Decker had an LED light and could use ALL my attachments. It was also cheaper! It came with a 2 year warranty and I bought the extra 2 years so I have a 4 year warranty. I will just make sure not to get this one so warm. I’ve been using it off and on for the past couple months and it’s Great. Trigger is a little different, due a slight delay for the LED light, lights on without the drill. Overall it’s Great!

I bought this tool about a year ago and have all the attachments that come with it. Since I’ve been doing a great amount of home remodeling jobs lately, it’s versatility is unmatched and I have almost every tool I need readily accessible. I have to admit that the engineers at Black&Decker did a phenomenal job coming up with this design. The trim saw attachment and blade impressed me the most as it was able to cut through multiple Portland fiber cement panels without problem. I just wish the blade was about 1/2” bigger. The only downside to this tool is the battery life. On big jobs I have to take 4 fully charged batteries with me. I hook them up to the charger as they are depleted. Once I run through all 4 batteries, the first one is back up and charged again. Other than the battery life, this tool is worth its weight in gold.

Finally got around to buying one of these. Works well enough for standard homeowner tasks. I don’t know that I would want to try and tackle a major project with it. In new home construction and remodels I find it quite useful when I am working off a punch list since it can perform a variety of functions.

I bought an older model like 3 yrs ago but couldn’t find it for like 6months. So since I loved mine & also had the other piece that goes to mine I bought another 1 but the new one was a little different but still great. One week after buying my new 1 my son found the other 1. Love them both.

Such a smart design, it allows me to do the drilling and wood cutting with one tool, I just bring the attachments wherever I need to work. It helps with all the maintenance and DIY I do in and around my house.

Read many reviews and went for this drill and I literally just put the battery on charge. I truly hope it works the way everyone says. I love it and Definitly can’t wait. I know I’m reviewing before even using it but I am glad all the good reviws and can’t wait to use it. Thanks for all the good reviews…Hopefully I’ll be able to update my post in a few days as I have 13 Cameras to install in and outside my house. Just ordered another battery just to have it on stand by. Thanks for listening and all the great reviews!!!
