BLACK+DECKER BDCDMT120C 20-Volt Max Drill/Driver is part of the Matrix Quick Connect System and was designed with the performance needed for any household task. This compact drill/driver offers a lightweight lithium battery which holds a charge for up to 18 months and is part of the Matrix Quick Connect System which allows users to quickly change attachments for any project need. The Matrix Quick Connect System offers performance and value in a simple and practical way for power tool users to grow their toolbox at their own pace. Within this system users can access the industry’s most popular tools, some of which were traditionally limited to professionals, while offering savings up to 42% versus purchasing bare tools separately. In addition to the drill/driver attachment there are 6 additional attachments available as part of the Matrix System including an Impact Driver, Oscillating Multi-Tool, Jig saw, Detail Sander, Router and Trim Saw.

I have used this product for the last several years as a drill, as a trim saw, and as a driver for a drum sander. It, and it’s ‘brother’ (the second one that I purchased), have worked great for me! I also purchased the ‘super’ charger and now, the 10″ chain saw. The tools, I’m sure will all continue to work great and last a long time!

This model (BDCDMT120C) is improved over the older model (BDCDMT120). The motor is an improvement, sounds much more powerful than the stand B&D drill motor. It also added and LED to the base and mag bit holder on the top. It is; however, still using the same drill head. Have to be extra careful with the chuck, or it will break on you.The drill head is also not very powerful, stating at 800 rpm, but feels very weak with no tq. The idea of other attachment is great. The high pressure inflator is an excellent add on, a little slow, but does the job right working with this base tool. The impact driver is also a decent an add-on. The multi-tool option is a nice touch as well, as it is compatible with other B&D add -on tool. Those are all I have at the moment. All are nice add on attachment to prolong the usage of this tool; however, it doesn’t do anyone of the job that well. Simply, all these interchangeable add-ons are too small to get the job done. Also the the attachments are a little expensive. Times there are cheaper alternatives.It also seems that home depot is clearing out all remaining stock of this product. Shame, it is a very good tool for DIY home owners. Not meant for contractors, but it was not design for it either or tries to be. Hopefully B&D will keep on making this tool and its attachments.

My cordless drill (not a matrix) stopped working close to fathers day so my wife picked up the matrix to replace it. gave it to me for fathers day. I have since gotten most of the attachments and have called the matrix “BEST TOOL EVER”. The only issue I have is that when using the attachments the battery will loose power quickly. we (my wife) solved this by getting me the corded version. Again BEST TOOL EVER!!

I bought this tool a couple years back. over time I have purchased all the attachments. Couldn’t be happier. Plenty of power. fit into a small bag or toolbox if I take to remote location for a project. battery is plenty strong. long lasting. I would highly recommend pick up a second battery tho. I have two. comes in very handy. I keep the second on on the lamp when not using. great light. Additionally, I had some problems with the jig saw attachment. Was not going through its full stroke. anyway, Called local dealer, literally no questions asked. mailed them defective part, new part in under a week. mind you, this is during holiday season as well. Outstanding customer service.
