I was surprised to not receive a battery with the jig saw. The Black+Decker Saw or Drill that I have bought before have always come with a battery. I saw the (tool only) but did not understand it. If battery is not part of the tool then I think you should say battery not included. The Jig saw has worked great. Black+Decker has alway made great tool.
