It helped that I had already purchased the Black & Decker weed whacker, blower and trimmer that used the 20 volt battery. So I had batteries that were already charged up and ready to go. This sander exceeded my expectations and then some. I used it to sand dog eared fence boards that were behind other boards. This tool allowed me to get behind the boards in front so I didn’t have to remove any which would have created extra work. The fence length was about 120 feet, so there were plenty of boards to sand. I was sanding these boards and then putting a clear stain on them to give them a rustic look. I was doing one section at a time which included about 16 boards. The battery charge time was sufficient. A great tool. Especially with what I was doing caused me to move the tool horizontally and vertically which would have been a pain if a cord was attached.

This is one of the best sanders that I have owned! It contains the dust quite well and I don’t know how I’ve ever sanded before without the finger attachment. The only think I don’t like is that it seems to eat through paper quickly and be oof this it is easy to accidentally damage the base.
