It will work good on soft wood like Pine it’s not a high detail router I wouldn’t recommend it other than just to have it in your tool bag just in case you needed something small and quick

Have not used it yet but it is what I expected and I’m ready to use it just to play. What I did not like was that it came without a router bit to get you started. I have never used a router before and will need to get some help with the purchase of a bit or two.

Got this for a gift about a year ago. Finally got to some router projects. For wood guitar pickguards, pickup covers, etc. it is awesome. Don’t know about doing a table size project but I’d give it a shot!

Just a tip; the Matrix is the exact same tool as the Craftsman version. The attachments and batteries are interchangeable.On the tool itself, I use it daily in my construction business. I do remodels and tons of decks and this tool has proved itself invaluable.

Well I was looking for an economical way to learn how to use a router to do edges on my shelves. I am very happy with my choice, to just add to my multi tool. It does the job very nicely. I am using 1/4″ round over bit by Diablo.
