I bought this saw in order to help with the job of annual pruning of my apple and pear trees. It replaced a hand pruning saw which I had been using in the past to cut limbs too large for lopping shears. It was nothing short of fantastic. It cut my time in half because the limbs and areas where shoots had formed previously took so long to cut through by hand. The other two things that I really liked was how light it was, I could hold it with my arm extended with one hand and cut, great when on a picking ladder, and the battery life. I could cut for at least a half hour which is what I averaged per fruit tree with no loss of power. I only had to change batteries one time in pruning twelve trees. I don’t have any financial interest in Home Depot or Black and Decker and I very rarely do product reviews, even more rarely give a 5 star review. .I encourage anyone thinking of buying this product for the use I described to do so without hesitation.

A friend and I pruned ice damaged trees and bushes with new Black & Decker saw and discovered battery powered saw was a great improvement in time and effort over the manual saws we used before in our volunteer efforts to make Stillwater, OK Community Center look better after October storm. Another large positive is our other B & D 20 volt batteries are interchangeable among BD tools.
