This drill is a good replacement for the one i ruined by getting it to hot drilling holes with a big hole saw. I saw afterwords that i should have given it a chance to cool down after cutting the first hole. I found that it was cheaper to buy a new drill than replace the armature . I have other attachments that go onto this that work great , But am not sure how much longer this will be available

It does EVERTHING I need and I don’t have to buy batteries every 4 months….I have one I bought 4 years ago and it runs like new…I bought an extra to have if the first one ever died…but I don’t expect it to…I’ve built everything from shelves to decks with it and as long as you don’t abuse it, it won’t let you down…I would have like a key chuck better than the grab chuck – that’s the only improvment I can recomend…

What I was looking for, to drive many screws without worrying about running down the battery in my cordless drill. My only criticism is that the clutch could use one more setting on the firm side. In heavy wood or with larger screws, the highest setting doesn’t quite do the job, requiring the use of the “no clutch” drill setting to finish driving the screw. The drill is powerful enough but the clutch limits it in these cases.

This drill is exactly what I wanted for around the house. I did not want to deal with rechargeable batteries that would lose power over time. I want full power all the time and that is what an electrical drill can do.

I needed a new drill because even though my 15 year old cordless drill is still in great shape, the batteries barely hold a charge anymore and 14.4v replacement batteries are expensive. For me, the cord is a trade-off that I’m willing to make for a lighter, more powerful drill that won’t ever need replacement batteries. I chose this drill because of the price and for the potential multi-use options this model offers.

Had it for few weeks and hard to rate before using it on a project but it was what I expected. I am rating it on the heavy duty feel of it and was a little surprised by the weight. I wanted a corded drill with a clutch which is difficult to find. I also like the convenience of battery drills but don’t use a drill that much and have trouble keeping the battery charged. I also do not care to spend more on a replacement battery than I did for the drill plus battery.

This drill isn’t quite as powerful as my older Black and Decker drill, but it is quieter and has a more responsive trigger. The idea that the motor can be used to power other tools is a great idea, but of no advantage since the impact driver part that I want is not available for the corded model (though is available through the cordless model.)
