The BLACK+DECKER 4.5 Amp Jig Saw features a powerful variable-speed motor that can generate up to 3,000 SPM to help make fast cuts through wood, metal or plastic. This saw can make bevel cuts of up to 45 degrees and its new and improved wire guard sightline improves visibility to the cut line and helps you make accurate cuts. Its compact handle with over mold gives you increased control while reducing vibration. Other features include a quick-clamp, which allows for fast, tool-free blade changes and an adjustable shoe to help maintain cutting stability.

Because of the low, low price, I expected this tool to be cheaply made and last for just a couple projects and burn out or something. Well, it’s holding up just like more expensive jigsaws that I’ve had in the past. I’ve had it for weeks now and it’s doing great. Well done, Black+Decker. It’s corded, and I would’ve preferred a battery operated type, but for the price, you really can’t get any better.

This is my first jigsaw. I bought this particular one because it was a brand I knew for a great price. I didn’t have anything in particular in mind when I bought this saw, but 3 days later I had to use it to cut a whole in the floor of my back building to pull out one of my dogs. The tool performed perfectly and was extremely easy to use. Hopefully I will get a few good years of use out of it. Definitely recommend as a starter tool.
