The BLACK+DECKER BDEJS600C 5 Amp Jig Saw features Curve Control technology, allowing you to adjust the saw’s Orbit in 1 of 4 customized settings to help complete your specific project. The 5 Amp variable-speed motor generates up to 3,000 SPM of cutting power. This saw can make bevel cuts of up to 45 degree and features an adjustable shoe for a stable cutting platform. It also has a new and improved Wire Guard which provides clear line of sight for precise cuts.

The saw turns great. The blade that came with it is pretty rigid, so if you wanting to make a fine cut, you may want to get a finer blade, but overall, it cuts great.

It is a fine unit. The blade release is easier to use then the Ryobi. Just missing 2 things I wanted. There is no true Variable Speed Control. Speed of blades depends on how much pressure is put on the trigger. Continuous operation button only works at full speed. I wanted a little more control options – so I returned it & got comparable Ryobi

A major improvement over the B&D jig saw that I’ve had for over 15 years. The old saw still works, but this saw caught my attention. The saw was purchased for an upcoming project,so I have not been able to test it to the limits. Hence the 4 star rating. I’ve been a B&D consumer for over 40 years and non of their products have ever let me down. After I put the saw to the test, I will revisit my review and update my thoughts. But at this early stage of the game, I can’t see how you can go wrong with purchasing this saw.

I thought it was a excellent piece of equipment for the price. Used it to cut out fairly intricate patterns on 3/4” plywood and it did a great job with the variable speed. I am a novice and found it easy to use.

My husband bought this jigsaw for me when I was making a baby cradle for a family member. It is light enough that I can handle it comfortably even with the arthritis in my hands. I needed it to cut out stars in the sides of the cradle and it worked perfectly. I have used it several times since then and am very happy with it. I like the adjustable features. I have used it when I wanted a slower controlled cut and also when I wanted it to cut quickly. It is very easy to use and I haven’t tried to use it for anything it hasn’t been able to handle. I’m sure at some point I will find out it isn’t the best tool for some cutting needs but so far I haven’t found anything. I have wanted a jigsaw for a while and I am so glad to have one finally. I have several black and decker tools and they are all very good.
