sands fast and doesn’t use up the sanding disk. However, dust gets all over the place. the dust collector probably works only some.

I am using this sander to refinish kitchen cabinets and all is working out well. 12 doors and 5 drawer fronts done so far and a few more to go.

I was looking forward to receiving this sander as I don’t own one (my wife has two and holds this fact over me whenever I want to use one). Now I can do some sanding without having to ask permission… Here are some specifics about the sander I noticed.1. This sander feels good in the hand. It is easy to hold onto and move. 2. It has good weight to it (it feels solid) without being too heavy. I feel like I could sand with this for hours without getting tired. 3. The motor is strong and even pushing harder than usual, I could not get it to stop rotating. 4. It seems to do a better job of sanding than my wife’s older orbital sander does (also a Black and Decker). Maybe it’s because that one is a few years old but I think this is just a better machine. 5. It comes with one disk which is attached with the hook and loop system. This makes changing disks easy. 6. The dust collection works (sort of). I noticed there was about the same amount in the bag as out of the bag but some collection is better than none. 7. The one thing I am not a fan of is the switch. It is easy to turn on but therein lies the problem. It took some getting used to for me to pick up the sander without starting it because my hand naturally gravitates to the top of the sander. 8. The locking mechanism for the switch is good and works to lock it on or off. It’s just awkward to hold the sander in one hand (well enough to keep it from going out of control) and engage the locking mechanism. The position of the lock just doesn’t make sense. If I’m holding the sander; the lock is near the bottom of my palm near my wrist. It is very awkward to try and lock it. I think they either need to move the lock to the side where someone’s thumb would be or to the front. Or scrap it altogether and just go with a rocker/toggle on/off switch. I even checked the instruction manual and website to see if I was holding it wrong… They have a picture with someone using two hands to lock it in. One handed operation would be better.

This 2.4 Amp Corded 5 in. Random Orbital Sander delivery a great job for the price paid. I love the lock mechanism so i don’t have to squeeze it constantly while working which saves me from lots of pain. The dust collection container works well collects most of the dust and it prevents huge mess around. Overall i am really happy with this little machine.

It’s a good light duty, inexpensive sander and collects dust very well. My only issue with it is that there is a switch that locks the sander on or prevents it from being turned on and on my unit this switch doesn’t have a positive detent to hold the switch in place. So, while I am sanding the switch bounces around and gets under the paddle switch and prevents me from continuing my sanding until I move it out of the way. I am not sure if this is a design defect or a manufacturing defect that is only affecting my tool so I didn’t bother to return it. I can just tape the switch down but I really shouldn’t have too. I wasn’t expecting top end quality for such an inexpensive tool that I only use occasionally.

This is a great little sander that can tackle many obs. I used it on a table top which had some old paint spots on it and it took care of the job without leaving the circular sander marks after the job was done. It came with one sander disc and It’s worked fine for the table top I used it on. I’m looking forward to putting it to use on some other projects I have around the house. I also liked the dust bag that comes with the unit.

Works and is best reviewed cheap orbital sander I could find.

I really liked the ease of the sander. 1 negative was that I felt the sand paper wore out quickly.

This is a great sander I have used it on so many different projects. When i just got it i wanted a cheaper sander because i really only needed it for one job turns out i have used it on many and my grandpa who has a dewalt there are really nothing different.FYI BLACK&DECKER owns dewalt so if you see there is not much of a difference go and get the black and decker and save yourself some money

I have owned this sander for over a year. Previously, I’d bought the tiny mouse sander that Harbor Freight sold and found it did not stand up to what I needed. In my frustration, I ran to my local hardware store in desperate need of something a bit more sturdy. This little sander has stood up to everything I have thrown at it thus far. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because after the abuse my husband and I have put this thing through, restoring a neglected house, I have to replace the velcro sanding pad and seal. I’m sure had it not had to sand trim, 1950s polyurethaned doors, and everything in between, it might be in a bit better shape.I like that the power switch is where you place your hand. You literally press down and it just does it’s thing. I also like that there is a lock for the power switch so you can lock it in the on or off position, which comes in handy when you’re putting a new disk on. The sawdust catcher could use some work. After emptying the bag, make sure to wipe around inside the neck of the bag or the build-up will make it difficult to put the bag back on.For all it’s been through, I can’t say I’m too upset that all it needs is a new pad and seal. The hardest part right now seems to be finding the correct parts. (Amazon has quite a few different sander pads and I can’t find the seal.) The mouse sander couldn’t have done half the things this little beast has done. Probably the best $30 I’ve spent in quite awhile.
