Great level. Very easy to use. Makes hanging anything a snap. Only gave it a 4 because light could be brighter.

Back in 2007 I used this to build an entire 16′ x 40′ barn, from setting the post to setting all the 2x6x16s for roof and all 2×4 and 2x6s for the framing on both sides of the barn. This cheap level worked excellent keeping all framing level all the way around the barn walls even on opposite sides of the barn. The LED Lasar is hard to see in direct sunlight but it’s there just shade the spot with something and you can see the line. I still have it and use it here and there on projects. Now here in 2016 I’m going to use it to build a 20×12 over hang on my shed.

This is a very simple level for hanging pictures, shelves, etc. The functions are very easy to navigate and understand. This is definitely a beginning DIY’er useful tool. I found that I could run straight lines no matter the angle I was using. The only downside to this level was leaving a small hole in the wall-about the size of a tack or pushpin. If you are hanging a shelve or row of pictures. I highly recommend you put the level where you want to put one of your nails or anchors to avoid leaving a hole in your wall.

Absolutely easy to use, effective and practical. Best for hanging pictures and curtain rods. Without it, I think I would have been one frustrated wife/momma!

Easy to use and much simpler than a chalk line. I was replacing a drop ceiling in my basement with drywall, but had to manage all the existing wiring. So I had to install firring strips. Trying to do this with a chalk line was just a pain, especially with wiring and insultation some times being in the way. Since I just do my own home projects I didn’t want to shell out nearly $100 or more (I thought) for a laser that I wouldn’t use frequently. When I found this I was in! With this device positioned low to the floor I could run the laser line most of the way along a 20′ ceiling to guide me in nailing up the strips on the celing joists. And for the most part it didn’t matter what was hanging down . HUGE boost in productivity. Great for most anything you need a long straight line for. I’ve even dropped it a few times and still works. For its cost compared to most laser lines on the market its just a fantastic value.

The Bullseye laser level from Black & Decker is a good buy. It’s easy to use and instructions are minimal. The kit includes batteries. This model also includes a built-in angle protractor for precise angle leveling that is useful when lining up stairs or even staggard pictures. There are two ways to mount it to the wall for use. One is to poke a hole in the wall with the base or use double stick adhesive (not included). I wanted to try the adhesive before poking a hole in my wall but they are not included with the kit. The hole is very small and is hardly noticeable. Spackle fixes it easily. It’s about the diameter of a thumb tack hole. The laser also has three ways to point a beam which is nice but most of the other laser levels can just be rotated to achieve the same thing. Overall I like the level given price and capability.I think it’s a good buy basically because it has the built in protractor leveling capabilities.

The benefits for me were the two directions of the laser beams. When using outdoors as I did, it is almost impossible to see the beam at a distance of 15 ft unless it is dark outside. I was able to use it to check the elevation of a point 20 ft from the instrument. It was not easy to do this, however.

Not a bad unit, but the laser beam isn’t as strong as I would like it. For the money I spent, it does the job. it works the best on smooth surfaces as even just slightly textured surfaces break up the beam. If you are looking for a inexpensive laser level to hang pictures, then this will work. For all other projects, spend a little more money.

This item has saved my walls and my marriage. Recently my wife decided to redo the pictures on the wall as well as put up picture ledges. As we took down the old picture we were reminded of the problems we had hanging pictures in the past. There were multiple holes per picture trying to get them level. With this auto-leveling laser it was so much easier. Just attach the holding plate to the wall using the small pin attached, put the laser on the plate turn it on and, “Walla” there’s your line. No more second guessing whether it’s level. Now you know. I was able to hangh multiple items in a fraction of the time. I didn’t get frustrated when my wife would say, “it’s not level.” With this I knew it was level. No more multiple holes per item hung. One and done. This is a great, easy to use item, that is well worth the money.

I use it has a hand held device. I don’t use the mount. I’ve been hanging artwork and mirrors in the furniture industry for 17 years and it is a true time saver.

I had the older model that was given to me as a gift about 10+ years ago and it finally gave out. Bought this one as a replacement and the model improvements are very nice.

I Love how easy it is to use and for my home use it works perfectly. There are nicer models out there but after doing some shopping I found this to be the best deal for my home projects.

The Black + Decker BullsEye was a Christmas gift that was well received as a need and a convenience for accurate measurement.

Does level correctly, although it was frustrating the level only displays to the left or the right at one time, not both. Not sure I was overly confident it was always level, but it was.

This one is a replacement for the Black+Decker auto leveling I purchased 30 years ago and finally has no more life but was built with good quality. This model is the only one I could find that is auto leveling but the quality of this replacement Model is far from having the same quality!!!!

Horizontal and vertical lazer lines with self levelling is the perfect tool for hanging pictures, shelves or anything around the house. Being able to lock the laser for angled lines was a real bonus as I have a stair way to hang pictures. It is easy to use, works striaght out of the box, the in built pin to hang on the wall is great feature as well.
