It didn’t cut through a 3/4″ branch as advertised, but I didn’t expect it to. For the price point this machine is great. It’s lightweight, balanced and very sharp. Whereas my previous 35 year old B&D was dull as a butter knife, this one cuts through shrub branches “like buttah!”.

Before owning this I had a Craftsman weed trimmer with hedge trimmer attachment. It was heavy and didn’t really do the job. I’ve owned the Black and Decker now for about a month and it is a beast when it comes to trimming. It’s lightweight, easy to use and cute everything in its way. Very easy to use and quite a bit of power for an electric hedge trimmer. Has a nice safety feature – you have to disengage two buttons for it to run. A little heavy but not too bad. I’m only 5ft. but was able to use it taking a couple breaks to rest my arm. Product was in excellent condition when it arrived. Received it fairly fast.
