I have had Black & Decker tools through the decades and never had a bad experience. They may not be for every day hard core professional use but they are good enough for the occasional user. After reading the existing reviews I was afraid that the nylon string gets used up too quickly, but being a littler careful solved that problem. The powerful motor certainly is a plus. I love it.

I was amazed at how well this thing cuts. The line is very thin so I wasn’t expecting it to cut so well. But it did a fantastic job. It’s also self feeding, so no bumping or replacing short lengths of line.Changing spools is very easy, and lots of companies make very inexpensive spools for it. We buy spools by the dozen. It is truly a superb homeowner tool.
