It’s light and when I changed the lower handle so I could use the trimmer closer to my body, it was not painful on my back. I found I could trim longer than I could with another trimmer. I like the ability to determine the length of the trimmer and the 14″ wide.

The 14 inch, 6.5 amp String Trimmer is the most solid and well put together trimmer I’ve ever owned and used. I really like the guide wheel for trimming the edge of the sidewalk and along the driveway.Even the knee high weeds I took on fell handily. Good price and better performance.

This is my second electric string trimmer from Black & Decker this newer model has a push button easy feed works like a charm .my older model does not have this feature.i would recommend this power command string trimmer by Black &Decker.

I’m quite pleased with the B&D 6.5 amp electric string trimmer. I especially like the control of the string feed…that is to say, it is under my control. I’ve read many reviews of other automatic feed trimmers and how they go through a lot of string in a short amount of time. Most string trimmers use a bit of string when in use…it’s the nature of the beast. But with this one, I can control how often I feed it.The unit displays good power…I used it mostly as a lawn edger and while powerful, it does take a bit of practice to get a good straight line. I don’t find this a fault of the edger but one of practice. Virtually any hand held lawn edger will take some practice to get a good straight line as opposed to a dedicated wheeled edger.I have not had to change the spool yet and will see just how well that goes. I am hoping that I can refill a spool versus having to buy a new fully loaded spool. If you have to buy a new spool every time, then I may drop the rating one star. It’s a bit like the inkjet printers then…they make their money not on the original purchase of the printer, bur on the sale of the ink cartridges! 🙁

I’ve had this trimmer about 6 months and it has not disappointed. I noticed some comments on the height adjustment and trim feed…I’ve had no problems with either…maybe operator error on those with poor reviews. I’m using this trimmer 1-2 times a week in heavily dry grass areas as well as normal areas of edging the lawn. Thanks Black and Decker…now if you could make a lighter electric hedge trimmer for me.

I bought this about a month ago and it works great, except when you use the line feeder. If u dont feed the line fast enough it gets caught inside.

I bought this trimmer 3 weeks ago since my old Toro trimmer had finally worn out (20 years old). This works great. I’ve had no issues with the adjustable handler or the string feed. We’ve had a very wet winter in Arizona so I’ve used it probably 6 times in the last 3 weeks with no issues. Love the EasyFeed system.

I really like this string trimmer. Lots of torque make for an easier edging job. The downside is the trimmer line loosens when the easy-feed is employed. Overall, it is a good product.
