I am a self proclaimed foodie, I also consider myself a small time city farmer minus the farm animals and only the garden Lol. I am a stay at home mom and needed to find something of me and my son to do and work on everyday and preferably outdoors. So we planted a nice sized garden. Our garden suddenly took off and we kept adding to it and began planting more and more. So much that I have sold my excess fruits and veggies to my neighbors. We eat a vegetarian based diet for the most part so it has been wonderful having fresh fruits and veggies right outside my house. So I have gotten creative with my cooking as well. I had an old ninja blender and it was on its last leg, so I was in need of a new on and this Black and decker power crush multi-function was just what I needed. It is awesome!! Since II make my own salsas, smoothies, juices, and sauces it has been so easy and whips right through each of my recipes. My son and I drink our daily smoothie and it has no problem breaking down whatever veggies or fruit is in it along with the ice. I seriously can not recommend this blender enough. I am so happy with it! I have purchased 2 of them now. So that I can have one for my smoothies and the other for all other cooking! They are awesome and affordable what can I say !

Beyond my wildest dreams. This blender crushes ice instantly and makes superb smoothies packed full of frozen fruit, yogurt, potein powder, juice, and soy milk. It also makes great creamed soups. But perhaps its best feature is the self-cleaning setting. Just fill the pitcher 1/3 full with hot water and a dollop of dish detergent, pop it on the blender, set to quick clean for 30 seconds, then rinse with hot water, disassemble, and place in the dish drainer. No more scrubbing, risking a finger puncture on the blades. The only features I don’t like: When blending it’s very loud (I had to put a potholder under it to try to muffle the noise), and it’s not easy to switch between control buttons quickly–they’re hard to depress. Still, it’s so much better than the Oster I had before.
