Strap that fits to trash can is too light weight- design is poorly executed-it May last one season at best. … just like slide on/off switch on power vacuum unit… it worked 2 days then broke. 2nd time this season. Since Black&Decker sold quality has deminished noticeably.

I am pleased with my leaf collection system. I did have to use a bungie cord to help hold the netting to the trash can, but it works great. It’s nice to be able to mulch up such a large quantity of leaves without interruption. I used to have to stop often to empty the bag that came with my blower/mulcher.

Product did not work out as I had hoped. Did not stay on trash can and when it blew off leaves flew everywhere. Maybe with the perfect round trash can with a lip it might work better.

The cord holding the next against the bucket is not sufficient. Cover is more like a net. Lots of dust coming out.The plastic hose came off the attachment during the first use. Cheaply made.

Everything worked well except that the hose from the blower/vacuem to the trash can top came off on the trash can end and it took a while to get it back on and secured. I do like the way it performs. Nice piece of equipment.

This is a gadget that really works; leaf collection is now almost fun! I have used this system for a month now and cleared the entire back yard full of wet leaves faster than ever before.The biggest drawback of leaf collection is the bag: it’s too small, bulky, hard to empty, and takes a lot of time away from collecting leaves, but it is heavy! This product solves all those problems: by using a separate container, you don’t have to carry the leaves around with you, the capacity is huge, and it’s easy to empty when you need to. All this means you can spend more time clearing up leaves instead of emptying a bag. Also, the weight of the leaf vac never changes because the leaves you collect are not attached to you.From reading other reviews, you know there are some engineering improvements that need to be made (see photos): positive closures where the tube goes into the fabric and where the fabric covers the collection bin are needed, as is a heavy weight in the bottom of the bin. Your experience may be different, but I needed to tighten up the connection between the tube and the leaf vac itself (B&D Leaf Hog) with some duct tape. Operation is smooth; the collection tube itself never clogged; if the leaves make it through the leaf vac, they will end up in the bin. An additional benefit of having such a large receptacle is that there is always a clear path away from the leaf vac–collecting into a bag decreases the performance of the vacuum as you go. Even with a lot of sticks, the collection tube held up very well when collecting leaves on grass. When collecting leaves on dirt with some mulch and stones, something did punch a hole in the tube, but it did not affect the efficiency of collection. Moral: blow leaves away from the dirt and onto the grass before collecting them.Even with only one season’s use, there is already some wear showing on the fabric. Whether or not that matters remains to be seen. Even if it wears out soon, I’ll just buy another one. No more bags!

Works very well reduced piles of leaves to fit in a couple of bags. Just beware the hose is heavy and would come loose from the power head. There is a notch on the hose end to hook a bungee cord. I used a short bungee cord from that notch to around the power head and that kept it attached.

Totally helpful. I have some big trees and I fill my green waste bin every week. Before this I was stopping and dumping the bag 8 or 9 times to dump the backpack bag. This is a big timesaver, and no more carting the heavy backpack. Unfortunately this won’t fit on our green waste bin, so I put it on a standard size trash can. If it could fit the green waste bin it’d be 5 stars.

Can’t respond with a rating. Assembled it – easy. Attached it to a newly purchased 32 gallon garbage can – had to delay using it for health reasons. Would imagine though, I would rate it as a 4 or 5 – Good – Excellent. Satisfaction with Vacuum is definitely a 5!
