The machine works great. Plenty of power and control, plus is’s super durable! I’ve had it for over three years and it makes easy work out of yard work. The biggest hang up is the bag! It tore at seams and you don’t find out till you have a face full of leaf scraps flying into your face (note: always use goggles when working)! I made some crude repairs, but it keeps tearing! Surprised that the bag is not made from some tougher nylon and more robust zipper material. Would have made this the perfect tool!

Second year and the bag is useless. I need a vacuum more than a blower. This is not the unit I would recomend.. For a blower I think it is fne. Problem is it isn,t for vacuuming

This was a pretty decent little leaf blower/mulcher and performed fine for exactly 2 years and 2 months, then just up and quit. Motor died apparently. Warranty is for 2 years. If you’re leaf blowing is worth about $30 a year then this one will do fine, but don’t count on it lasting beyond 2 years.

The first BV3100 lasted 4 years. Bearings were gving out on motor. Made more noise. So, I bought the same model as a replacement. Very satisfied with it’s performance.

This is a great solution for the suburbanite with a small yard and limited storage space. It will easily clean up a small yard and patio / deck. An Achilles Heel for this blower may be the vacuum bag, specifically the zipper. Treat it very carefully, otherwise you may need to replace the bag prematurely. Also, the vacuum tube can be a handful in affixing to the unit given an awkward fit of the tube base into the suction flange.

I bought this years ago (leaf hog model). Works great. Bag is small but if it were larger it wouldn’t be tote able. I remember a hose and fabric connector for a large trash container. If anyone knows where I can find one, I’d appreciate it. Would it be possible to get all black & decker products made in USA? It would be a great selling point!

Unfortunately I purchased this primarily for the vacuum. It worked well for the first 5 minutes and then clogged. Even after emptying the bag and cleaning the unit it continues to clog with very little effort. If you are looking for a inexpensive blower this is your tool.
