The first thing I noticed was how much sturdier the carafe is compared to my last coffe maker. It was easy to program, set up and clean. Only thing I wish it has was a longer shutoff time.

This is the third white Black & Decker coffee maker we have purchased. We paid twice the price for white rather than black which does not seem fair. The last two identical coffee makers were not higher in cost. Also, since this is our third coffee maker you can tell they do not last long after the two year warranty. But based on the reasonable price and functionality it seems reasonable. The only issue I have is with the length of the electrical cord. It is a little short for us and something buyers should look at. The coffee maker does make good coffee.

I bought this for a Christmas gift in December (2017). When first used (after Christmas) didn’t realize until after the second pot that water was leaking from the coffeemaker. Upon further examination, the design of the top allows for the collected condensation to pour out when opened for cleaning, reaching outside of the water collection area and running down all three sides of the of the coffeemaker when you open the top. So be sure to be careful where you put the coffemaker. Don’t put it near items that could be damaged by water. It does brew well. Just makes for a mess on the counter.

I bought this today because the B & D we had for ten years finally pooped out on us! I love the product so immediately looked for a B & D replacement. Bought one the other day very quickly and I didnt realize the filter basket is for paper filters. Is it possible to put a permanent filter into the DLX1050B? I dont want to return it for the W model if I cna use one for this B Model.

My old 12-Cup Black + Decker programmable coffee maker died after several years of service. This model isn’t as good as the model it replaced but the controls are nicer. Lid doesn’t fit as well and it doesn’t keep the coffee as hot after brewing as the older model did. I ran three cycles using only water before making the first pot of coffee, there is still an after taste that I hope will go away.I can’t recommend this coffee maker.
