This electric lawn mower is very lighlweight, and easy to push. I was worried about it not being a self-propelled model, but it was so easy to push, I cut my yard with ease. The batteries charge very quickly, so no worries if the first two don’t do the job. I assembled it without reading the instructions, so I was up and running in no time. I highly recommend this brand of mower.

This is a replacement for a comparable Sun Joe 16 inch 40 Volt cordless lawnmower.Needless to say the Sun Joe was a major disappointment that the company was kind enough to replace three times. Thus far the Black & Decker has performed admirably. Minor problem installing the collection bag. Thanks

okay lawnmower, easy to put together and I like that it has 2 batteries with it. Would like to see more power to it (tough to mow longer/thick grass. Definitely a mower for very small lawns that are mowed every week, if you need more power look at other options.

So far it has been a helpful tool…have over an acre so we use several different Black and Decker tools…weedeater, hedge trimmer, blower and now the mower for grassy areas…love Black & Decker lithium battery products…

Works great and not having to get gas is a winner.

So far so good. Great for smaller yards. Bag fills quickly, but no biggie.

I bought this mower after years of frustration with internal combustion engines. Works every time with no issues on a St. Augustine lawn.

Quiet, easy to manipulate. Works great, but the battery doesn’t seem to last long enough. I bought two batteries, so I have one ready while the other is charging.

Low weight and good power. Came with two batteries.

Could not be happier. Easy to assemble and works great. Mows the entire yard (2000 sf) with one battery. 40 volt is the way to go. They charge quickly.

I purchased this mower along with the 40V string trimmer and I also have the 40V leaf sweeper (All Black and Decker). I have a very small patch of grass to mow (44′ x 40′). The mower comes with two 40V batteries and a charger. I purchased the string trimmer and sweeper without batteries or chargers. All of the items were easy to setup. I am able to mow the lawn, trim with the string trimmer and use the leaf sweeper all on one battery. Changing the battery between devices is a “One Click” and out process. The lawn is not very dense and I can see where the mower might bog down frequently in thicker lawns. Otherwise, this and the related products have been perfect for my needs.

I’ve used my new B&D electric mower a couple of times so far. It made pretty good work of some overgrown grass, stalling out only where you’d expect gas powered mowers to do the same. Battery life is an issue. I have a small yard (~ 1/4 acre) and 3 batteries doesn’t quite cover the whole thing. I wound up with a 8×3 foot patch that needed to be finished off the next morning. Worth it for not having to mess with gas/choke on fumes. The bag is very small making it necessary to stop and empty very often – probably my only real complaint. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase and would gladly do the same knowing what I know now. We’ll see how it holds up.

No complaints. It works well and is sufficient for my size yard

Mowed a 20 x 15 lawn that was about 4-5″ high very well. Much lighter than gas mower, but not too light to do the job. Fairly quiet, adjustable height, easy to maneuver. Assembly was pretty easy (about 15 mins). Orange clips make it easy to fold the handle for storage.

Excellent machine, recharges quickly, mows evenly.

The mower was easy to set up. After a quick charge I put it through its paces and found it to be an excellent mower on our new lawn. We have a slope to the lawn and it is easy to push around. The battery pack does very well on our decent sized wrap around the house yard. It takes all but one bar to mow our yard but since I received two it is no problem. There is plenty of power to cleanly cut and pickup grass in the catcher. By the time I finally ordered this unit our grass needed to be cut twice because of the depth. It was no problem. The features on the mower are great and it folds up easily and stows away in a small corner of the garage. I was so impressed by the power I bought a Black and Decker yard trimmer using the same 40 v battery and was equally impressed. I love not having to mess with gasoline and the noise. My neighbor had one which influenced me and now another neighbor is getting one.

I enjoyed this light weight and excellent mower for about 8 uses. Then it would not start. finally determined the problem was in the switch box on the handle. I was able to get it to work for a couple more times. But now it will not work. It appears the complex “child proof feature” also makes it adult proof and lawn proof!! Please contact me for a solution.

The instruction manual was written for someone who has already assembled a similar product. The exact step-by-step procedure for attaching the handle… removing the orange connectors, putting the lower handle in place, attaching the connectors, etc… though easy enough… was not obvious to me. A few more illustrations would help. Or, reference to an online site other than a copy of the instruction manual; something like “Instructions for Dummies”.Otherwise , I really like my new lawn mower.

At first I had my doubts. The first time I used it, my grass had grown really tall, so the mower kept stalling out and eating up the battery charge. The battery won’t last longer than 10 minutes if you have to constantly restart. But, thankfully, that was just because of the tall, thick grass, and it hasn’t given me any problems since then. Overall I’m very happy with this mower and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced battery operated lawn mower.

I used this on a .5 acre lot with a good sized front yard and a small backyard (cluttered with pool, firepit, etc) and I am very, very impressed!Putting it together was a snap. I had it ready to mow in less than 5 minutes. (Not counting charging time). I charged the batteries in the evening and overnight. Then I started mowing by pulling the lever and pressing start. No pull! The cut is very clean and even and you should see it to understand how even it really is. Much better than my gas mower.I didn’t use the grass catcher because I’d be dumping all the time. I didn’t get grass on me anyway. The mulch dropped right down and didn’t spray up. The mower is so light and easy to use that I was able to steer it with only one hand!I don’t usually gush over these kinds of things but I showed my brother this mower and he bought one and was so impressed by this that he bought the blower and weed whacker as well! All of them work very well and we don’t miss messing with gasoline mix and pull tabs to start!I did have to use two batteries to do my whole yard. You only get about 12-15 minutes of use on a battery charge. The extra batteries I got with the other items come in very handy. This is the only down side. If you have a small yard this wont impact you.I recommend this item highly!A sample of this product was provided for review.
