I have bought two of these, one just yesterday. The carafe plate keeps rusting the one I just bought yesterday we are using this morning. I just wiped the carafe place and the paint came off again. I will be taking this back to the store again and changing brands. It is to bad because I love this coffee maker.

This is a good coffee pot except and this is a big except. You cannot pour the water into the maker without it spilling. And the real big problem is that you cannot pour a cup of coffee without it spilling down the pot and onto the counter.

for about 2 weeks we had coffee tasting like the new coffee maker smelled, plastic? I cleaned as instructed 3 times took a dozen or more pots before we no longer tasted that plastic?

I bought this coffee maker several years ago, and have had no problems whatsoever, other than user error. It did leak all over the counter once, but that was because I hadn’t properly seated the water reservoir before brewing. The delayed start feature is great in the mornings so I have coffee all ready after coming home from the gym.

For 25 years now I always purchased black and decker products including coffee makers, toaster ovens etc. The last couple of coffee makers purchased I decided to try other brands and was not happy with them. I replaced each of those coffee makers after using it for a couple of months. From now on I will only buy black and decker. Very happy with their products. I especially like the fact that this coffee maker has option for a 1 to 4 cup brew as well as option for a stronger brew.

So far this pot does wxactly what it’s supposed to do. It makes a good pot of coffee. Unfortunately, like most coffee pots today, the coffee’s not very hot but otherwise it’s a good little pot.

Okay programmable coffee maker but the display does not illuminate so you can’t read it which makes it difficult to use, unless you get down to the display level or use a flashlight. Not waht you want first thing in the morning.

These types of products use to last 15 or more years, my last one, not Black and Decker, only lasted 2 years .. Way too short.. This is the third coffee maker we have had of this model. Have worn them out over the years. Clock on last one ran fast after a owning a few years and just lived with it. New one brews well but clocks already running fast after a few weeks. Can’t use the programmed feature unless we want to wake up to cold coffee. Is there any way to reboot clock circuit?

Bought this to put in my camper so I could sit outside and it keeps coffee hot. It is a type of thermos & inside of carafe must be preheated. No glass to break either.
