I’m a college student, in the morning when I’m off to class, this is a quick and easy way to make myself a quick cup of coffee. I recommend buying your own spill proof thermo because the one that comes with this product leaks if you’re not careful.

I replaced another single-serve coffee machine with this one. My old machine didn’t have an included mug and it always splattered coffee all over my counter and floor every time I used it. This one makes no mess and as an added bonus the included mug is actually pretty good.My old machine had two filter baskets, one inside the other. This unit only has a single filter basket but it’s a much finer mesh and I haven’t had any grounds leak through it. On the downside, the wet grounds do stick to it and I end up having to rinse some of them down the sink instead of just tapping all the grounds out in the trash. Plus the filter assembly only goes together one way so there’s a bit of a learning curve. These are minor nit-picks though. I’ll give it 5 stars for single-serve coffee with no expensive pods and no mess.

Purchased a week ago—previously had–the BD Brew n Go—which I liked enough to purchase 3 times—but units just wouldn’t last. I was a little leary because of the style of basket–but have been proved wrong—this unit makes an even better cup of good ole’ Maxwell House. coffee.I’m a senior and as a rule make only 1/2 cup–8oz. at a time but like being able to make the 16oz. size when friend drops in. I prefer a wonderful plain cup of coffee and this unit delivers. PS many friends are throwing out those awful Keurig monstrosities—and have advised them to purchase this.

I am on my 3rd Black and Decker Single Serve Coffee Maker, and I think this will be the last one I purchase. I like that it has a reusable filter and that I can use my own coffee (rather than buying pods). However, the shelf life on this product leaves something to be desired. Each one of the three of these that I have purchased has stopped working properly at around the two year mark. The one I currently have produces so much steam that when the coffee is finished brewing, I am left with about 3/4 a cup of coffee.I have continued to purchase the product, despite knowing it will stop functioning, because when it is working it makes a good cup of drip coffee. I will look for a new model or brand next time.

I bought this model for taking on vacations where there is no coffee pot. But even if I had a pot in the room, I still use this. So many times I just wanted hot water and used the hotel coffee pot and it came out brown. Also it is small size and it travels well.

I just put in the amount of water and coffeefor my cup and coffee in less than a minute. I also like thesize – it doesn’t take up much space on the counter. So far it is great.

Love it !! I have always liked single serve coffee makers, but this one, I really like the most. Comes well packaged from Home Depot’s free delivery to store. Easy to use, just add coffee (I also toss in a pack of artificial sweetener to the dry grounds), water, press the button and wait about 5 minutes. The reusable filter basket is durable and easy to clean. Takes up minimal kitchen counter space or use one in your office, etc. On the down side, but not detracting from the functionality of the coffee maker, the included mug is not vacuum insulated. It will only keep the brew hot for 30 or 45 minutes. I put it on the shelf and used my vacuum insulated travel mug which keeps things hot a lot longer. My mug is 7-1/4 inches tall (without the lid) and just fits in the maker.In summary…. Best money I have spent since I bought the wife a new lawn mower.

Coffee maker is the answer to my wife and my travel needs . The perfect size for suitcase or travel bag . It makes the cup of coffee fast and its hot . can also be used for hot water for tea or instant drinks or food . The reusable filter not only saves money but you don’t have to worry with paper filters . The mug is a cheap plastic piece of junk that leaks like a sifter and coffee burns your chin and chest , stains your clothes and wasn’t worth the name Black and Decker . Throw it away and get a good 16oz. mug that will fit the maker .

I am experiencing the same problem with mine. Was working great for awhile and now half of the water is left in the coffee maker. I suspect that it could be either of a few things: the one way check valve is sticking, the heating element is bad, or could have some foreign debris buildup in the water passageway. I use a Yeti twenty ounce stainless steel Rambler/Tumbler with anti-splash lid that fits and works perfect instead of the one that came with it. In fact, the whole thing looks really cool together.

I love the coffee maker. Coffee gets very hot… PERFECT…The only problem I have and it is npt really a problem is that the insulated cup is not so insulated. It gets too hot to hold. I just switched and got another insulated cup. Problem solved.

Use this item daily for over a year now and have never had any types of leaks that the other posters have complained about. Honestly I threw away the travel mug that came with it because I only use the Contigo auto seal travel mugs and the regular size of the Contigo fits perfect. The coffee maker has enough water capacity to easily fill my mug with little extra to spare. The coffee basket is also large enough to handle the 3 or 4 scoops of coffee I NEED early in am.
