Purchased this Double Burner in July of 2018. I kid you not! I’ve used it almost daily and it’s still in excellent working condition. The burners still get as flaming red hot as the first day of use. My only 2 pet peeves are that the coils do not lift up, so you have to be very careful of spillage, because there’s no way to clean down in there. Also, the temperature settings on the knobs wear off quite easily. Once I noticed this, I made scratches where the 4, 5 and 6 are (the settings I use the most), so that I’d know where they lie once they faded away completely. Despite those two things, I am more than happy with this burner.

Works very great, other reviewers wondered how you clean it, I spray a tiny bit of Easy Off or Zedd Oven Cleaner ( use with caution, care and love) on a lightly damp napkin and use a tiny screw driver and go slightly around ( under burner and around it if necessary, if any stain or mess is visible there) where any stain maybe and gently press and turn upside down to gently shake any wetness out. I absolutely love this cleaner a whole lot. It took a while to receive it at my preferred Home Depot, but overall it was worth the wait, this is the best hotplate I ever owned, I always have loved black and decker products and they don’t disappoint in my opinion.
