I purchased this coffee maker…and loved it. Until I had a problem with the warming plate. I previously wrote a review summary about the product – that was not so favorable. However, since that posting, I have had great success/response from Black and Decker. They were very helpful regarding my concerns. Would I buy another coffee maker from B&D??? I sure would. This product works well overall, but has one flaw. I almost always have grinds that settle in the pot. When I noticed this, I had already purchased filters that were a little short. So I put those away and purchased some that were taller. The grinds still come into the pot. When I take the basket out to wash it, that is when I notice how the grinds have risen to the top of the filter and over. This is not good when you are sipping on your coffee and have to contend with grinds in your cup and mouth. I might add that this occurs no matter how much coffee I put into the basket. My usual amount is enough for two cups a day.Unhappy Customer!

I bought this coffee maker 10 months ago and it suddenly stopped brewing coffee today. I faithfully cleaned it according to the owners manual. it worked perfectly before today and I love all the features this particular model has, but I feel it should’ve lasted more that 10 months before it stopped working.

Very pleased with the design and quality of the coffee but very displeased with the carafe. Why can’t ANY company make a carafe that doesn’t dribble coffee all over the counter. This one seems to be worse than others. If you pour it slow the coffee runs down the side of the carafe, if you pour it faster it runs over the side of the lip.

HAVE HAD THIS COFFEE MAKER FOR A FEW YEARS – LOVE IT AND LOOKING TO REPLACE WITH SAME MODEL FOR HUSBAND FOR CHRISTMAS. IT STILL WORKS FINE BUT HAS STAINS FROM WATER CHEMICALS/SPILT COFFEE – OUR FAULT DUE TO LACK OF REGULAR CLEANING. GREAT MODEL.

WE had bought 3 coffee makers 3 years ago and one gave out and so we opened one of the other 2 and it didn’t work so we called Black and Decker and they replaced the new one for free. that was very nice of them. We just had to pay the shipping and handling. We just want everyone to know that this is a great coffee maker that lasted a long time. It is so nice to wake up and the coffee is ready. thank you so much for all your help in this matter. other companies may have told us the warranty was expired but they helped us out. This coffee maker is nice and compact; not taking up much counter top space. That was the primary selling feature for me. It’s not a bad coffee maker for the price; however, the brewing time is very slow. It takes more than 10 minutes for 6 cups to brew. If you don’t mind the wait…

I just got the pot for Christmas. The coffee pot works great, the clock is so bright you can use it as a night light. But my Model: DCM100B Sneak a Cup does not work. It seems to be missing a stopper in the brew basket to stop the flow as you pull the pot out. Coffee runs all over the heating plate.

Our previous coffee maker was over 15 years old and its life ended when the power cord was accidentally dropped on a hot stove element. We have replaced it with this cofee maker. After doing the initial run throughs, we made coffee with 3 scoops from our coffee holder. It made coffee the same as our old one. Why improve on a good thing.

We have owned this model for 4+ years. It is easy to add the water as the lid opens up very wide and there is plenty of room to pour it in. We haven’t had a problem with it spilling. We take our thumb and slightly raise the lid and it pours great. It has the great sneak a cup feature and doesn’t over fill the basket when we pour two cups. I am actually surprised so many have had issues. We purchased another model for company to make decaf and it made us realize what a great little coffee maker this model really is! Wish it came with more SS bling but will be happy with what we get.
