It does the job. Got this in the clutch when my Keurig tanked…bc COFFEE! It’s a bit slow…and spurts…but it’ll hold me over until I find the newest, next best thing in coffee brewing machines to invest in that will last me another 10yrs. I’d still recommend this one. Great value! Effective!

This is actually the 2nd one I bought. Its small enough to fit in limited spaces. It has its own washable filter cup so no need to buy paper filters. The mug is tall enough to pour into 2 separate mugs. If you’d like. You can add your creamer into the mug before brewing if your in a hurry. Then grab in go!

This is a great little 1 cup coffee maker because it makes a 16 oz hot cup of coffee in about 5 minutes from the moment you push down the button. I do nuke mine 30 seconds in the microwave in a ceramic cup during winter to make it extra hot but don’t need to in warmer months and I use the insulated cup included with the unit which keeps the coffee hot. I like to use a paper filter folded to enclose the grinds as some times the pressure from steam spreads the grinds around and it can get in your cup of coffee. I found that happened with my first unit as it got older, but I am using filters with my new one too. One morning I got distracted and forgot to add water and killed my first unit. Woops.Would definitely recommend this unit.

Have had this unit for 4 or 5 years and have been perfectly happy with it. It is used twice a day and keeps producing tasty hot coffee. Apparently dumped the basket strainer some time ago and am having to use small paper filters, but no big problem.

I bought this as a replacement for my dad. I gave him the older version (really about the same) several years ago. He likes it because it makes one very large cup pretty fast and he does not have to buy filters. The key is to keep the permanent filter clean. Don’t be lazy, clean the filter thoroughly after each use. I suggest washing the filter by hand daily and putting it in the dishwasher at least once per week. I am not sure if dishwashers are suggested by the manufacturer, but I have not had an issue even when using the heated drying option. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because water seeps into the mug’s housing when placed in the dishwasher. It should be washed by hand.
