    I love this trimmer. I used to have the battery operated one and the battery would only last about 20 minutes. This obviously has essentially unlimited power via the cord, but it works so well that I can edge my lawn pretty quickly. I really enjoy the different angles and the wheel that helps me keep a straight edge without butchering my lawn. I’ve used the one spool of line on at least 6 different occasions, in other words, doing the entire lawn 6 times with the same spool. I’m not a professional but this thing makes my yard look as if I hired one.

    I got this product because I needed something quickly but only had about $80. Unless you’re 5′ or shorter, this trimmer will kill your back. The automated feed is ok, I’d much rather bump myself. However, it does get the job done. Can’t complain on that front. However, considering I could have spent another $35 to go gas-powered, I’m more disappointed in my decision to go cheap.

    I liked everything about this trimmer/edger except the curved rod and the line replacement. The power is great and the line being thicker does last longer and cuts through heavier grasses and vines. The clip that adjusts the rod position and holds it in place is much easier than the kind you have to tighten. I didn’t like the curved rod because it puts your wrist and back in an uncomfortable position, also I had to change the handle position every time I changed from trimmer to edger. Changing the line is very difficult, not enough give for your fingers to pop it in and out. If the company will change to a straight rod and make changing the line easier this would be a perfect product.

    I’ve had mine for several years. Don’t have the receipt, but at least 3 years. It still works great.I had some other trimmers that would heat up and I’d have to let them cool before trimming more. But this one goes until the yards are done.Couple of caveats.1 To me winding the line on the spool has to be pretty tight and exact. 2 Get you some extra caps (replacement heads). They wear out way faster than the trimmer.

    I got this because it is electric. My 1st time ever using one and it was easy even reloading the cord. The cord refill is a little expensive though. I use against a chain link fence it does a decent job there as well. Using the edger on my drive and walk way does an excellent job. I must say though that it’s going to be very expensive to keep my fence done using this, I’m going to have to find a better way to take care of it.

Usually starts as a crack around base then eventually blows apartI have been thru at least 8 caps so that is $40 additional. One time when cap blew the spool went flying too & I never found it so that was another $9 for a spool replacementOverall a good whip but B&D you need to make that cover a bit more beefy. You know we will be bouncing it at times off the ground or rocks etc So either make it out of metal or at least thicker plastic that doesn’t wear so easily thru
