Light weight and large enough to make even cuts.Wife did cut the extension cord once (operator error)I pull it out more often than I would have guessed to touch up as needed

This is a great trimmer. It cut through all my hedges easily, from very small twigs to larger almost branches. You can run it with one hand if needed once you have it engaged. The cord holder is good, but it did come undone a couple of times. I’ve used it for about an hour total. You do need to do some assembly out of the box. You need to put on the front plate and front handle, so will need a Philips screwdriver. The safety plate and front handle are fastened with screws which are unscrewed from the trimmer when you unpackage it, so don’t look for a small bag of screws (like I did). After one use, no regrets. HD was the least expensive I could find at the time, I think I paid $40 and had it shipped free to my local store. Amazon probably would have gotten it to me quicker, but their returns are much harder, so HD was the way to go for something like this.

I used this hedge trimmer for several years on my shrubs, the only downside to it is that a 20″ blade was a little too short for my larger shrubs. If you have small shrubs, this will work fine. It is fairly light and easy to use. It does have a safety paddle switch which locks for continuous use. Blade can cut 3/4″ foliage and it has enough power for those larger branches.
