I received this hedge trimmer as a gift and it works amazingly! My hedges have been overgrowing since I purchased my home 5 years ago, and this removed 2 feet of overgrowth with no problem. I have removed branches up to 1/2” with ease, and branches up to 3/4” with a swing at them. The cord plugs directly into the back of the unit, so it needs a single receptacle extension cord to work. It is also loud- I recommend ear protection while using it, but that won’t deter me from using this absolute powerhouse until I can’t any longer!

This Black and Decker 22 inch 4.0 Amp Corded Electric Hedge Trimmer is well designed, light, powerful, and realistically priced. Our front bushes are now nicely shaped and beautifully trimmed. I have only owned this for 2 weeks, but I anticipate that it will last for years and years. The hedge trimmer arrived at our house by UPS. The manufacturers thin cardboard box had been literally torn in half and retaped. Both ends of the manufacturers box were torn open and haphazardly retaped. Miraculously, the Hedge Trimmer was not damaged, even though the manufacturers box was severely maimed. Home Depot needs to put such a thin manufacturer box into a larger sturdier box with foam packing to prevent product damage.
