I have only used a few times in the month I have owned it so far. I am still confused about the extension cord gauge to use for this trimmer. The included booklet indicates 14 gauge for 100 foot cord. In the reviews I read it was recommended to use 12 gauge and I did buy a 100 foot 12 gauge cord to play it safe. The weight is more to carry around of course. I like the feel and weight if the trimmer. My last trimmer was at least 10 years old and the blades were getting dull. I will be very happy if I get that much use out of this one. The new blades cut very cleanly as expected. My only complaint is the “hook” in the handle that is used to hold the cord in place. It is too short and the cord loop would often slip off. Maybe it would be fine with a 14 gauge cord (smaller diameter)?

I had an old B&D and it was giving out.the blades were dull. This thing is great…I love the length, chops little branches like straws haven’t really got into the big stuff. I am sure it will take care of the diameter of branches on the bushes. Putting oil on the blades first time out I think really helps. This was a good purchase. Only thing I have a gripe about, there isn’t a notch to hang it on the wall. I had to improvise. This is a good trimmer.

I love this trimmer. It’s reasonably quiet, lightweight, and cuts beautifully. I bought it to replace the old one which I had for many years, which was exactly the same. I have larger gas clippers, but sometimes I just like to use this one, because it’s quieter and much lighter. The price was very reasonable, too.
