This Black and Decker jigsaw has a great motor. I used this to cut through oak floors on fir sub floor. Cutting holes in the roof for waste vents. Cuts pipes. Great for plumbing, framing, and demolition use. It can take sustained hard use and barely gets warm. The shoe isn’t the greatest and I don’t really use the pen and light thing. For brute cuts, this can’t be beat. It’s a jigsawzall.

This is a great Jig Saw, it cuts pretty straight and has power. I’ve purchased longer blades as the one provided on the side light gray pocket located on the machine with a Black & Decker Sticker was short for the 4×4 pieces of wood I needed cut. It cut those with ease as well logs of about the same size. I’m very happy with this tool and it has surpassed my needs around my home.

Given that this saw is on the lower end of jig saw prices, I had some concerns as to its abilities. So far, I am very pleased with the saw. It’s performance to date has been great though I have yet to use it on any hard woods.

I have never used a handheld jigsaw and was a bit intimidated at first. My first try with the saw was easy to use, and it cuts very well. The saw is not big and clunky and light to medium weight. You can grasp and use with one hand. As a female, I would recommend this saw to other ladies who never used a handheld saw and beginners alike.

I enjoy using this jigsaw, and so far it has not failed me. I’ve used it on a variety of wood thicknesses, with no problems whatsoever. Seems to have a nice amount of power when needed, and I really like the variable speed trigger. Easy to use, and nice bevel action as well. I’ve only owned it a little over a month, but during that time, I find it very handy and view it as a good buy. The only negative is that I didn’t feel the UV light that is supposed to pick up the marker line works quite as well as advertized. But that’s just frosting on the cake to me. The saw cuts well and works well. I felt the price was a bit higher due to the brand name of Black & Decker, but as with anything in life, you get what you pay for.
