This battery came with a yard trimmer/sweeper combo I bought last summer. Very confusing because this battery is described as 40 volt, 2.0 Ah, and B&D’s other 40 volt battery is described as 40 volt 1.5 amp. Had a hard time finding out if these two batteries are interchangeable. Finally was told any 40V battery can be used with any 40V tool/charger. Hope that’s correct!!!!! Purchasing the B&D 40V Chainsaw so I didn’t have to buy another battery and charger. Wish me luck!!!

Battery is quick to charge and retains power for a much longer time than the previous 20 volt batteries we used

We ordered 2 new batteries for our battery powered mower and now have a total of 5 batteries. It takes 3 batteries to mow our yard for an hour and I mow twice a week. We determined each lithium battery will last about 3 years. $100 a piece sounds expensive but for us it averages about $33 a year. I would buy this brand again.

It is excellent so far!

I bought this a couple of months ago to replace the 5-year-old original. it’s a good battery and holds a charge much longer than its predecessor. I have an average size yard and can get at least 2 and sometimes 3 uses before recharging back to full.

It is not worth 70 dollars for that battery.

The 40 volt 2.0Ah battery is sufficient for my needs on my string trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer. However, in my 3rd year of use on the battery-powered push mower, it is not as powerful as the previous larger (Ni-Cad?) batteries. I have had battery-powered mowers since the 90’s and all previous models have had sufficient torque when I need it. I even bought an extra 2.5Ah battery, so I have the longevity I need, but nor the torque. I see the CM2060C is out there now but wonder why a weak 40V mower system was ever allowed to go to market and spoil the rep of the previous generation mowers.

Great blower for smaller areas(ie decks, porches and around outside equipment near home). Extra battery comes in very handy.

relieved it in timely manner. It held a good charge for my electric lawnmower.George

Needed a new one as several of the old ones had stopped working properly.

The battery works great, but doesn’t last as long as I would like. This is the third battery in 3 years. I use it about once a week for 30 to 45 minutes.

Nice addition to my yard cleanup arsenal. Now I can do twice as much yard work by alternating the two batteries.

Works hard and does what I need. My only problem is that I cannot get it into place inmy blower and weed eater because of weak wrists. (Broken on tennis court.) So I wait for a nice neighbor or family member to put the battery in. Inconvenient but worth the wait when my work is finished with the Black and Decker equipment. I am 81 years old and do most of my yard work so I need dependable equipment. Thanks, black and Decker.
