The BLACK+DECKER LHT2220 22 in. 20-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Hedge Trimmer delivers more precise cutting power and has a cut capacity of 3/4 in. thick. The LHT220 has dual-action blades that give you 40% less vibration and leaves a smoother cut than regular trimmers. The bale handle provides maximum comfort and allows you to cut in all directions to fit your needs and to make quick work of tough branches. This trimmer includes a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, charger and blade cover.

This is the 2nd Trimmer/Edger of this model that I have purchased. The first one lasted over 6 years with very heavy use. The unit is very capable of edging the lawn sod adjacent to the driveway and sidewalks. That is a hefty task for a battery powered trimmer to accomplish. It does a nice job of trimming around things while doing the lawn mowing. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a good trimmer edger.The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the battery doesn’t last for a full edging session at my house, however it is still better than dragging a power cord along with you each time you do the edging. The battery does run down while doing a driveway and walks. Would recommend having a spare battery fully charged each time the unit is used for edging. The auto feeder on the string spool works well and you don’t have to tap to get it to feed. It is fully automatic. I found that refilling a spool is easy to do with trimming string available at most home garden stores.

I talked myself into ordering this battery hedge trimmer before Christmas for our Christmas, and the first time I got to try it out I was very happy I had ordered this 22 inch battery hedge trimmer. For over 20 years, I have had the same trimmer but with electric cords to fight. I am on oxygen, and use a rollator I kept cutting my oxygen cannulas and a few cords into because one or both were always in the way. I highly recommend the 20V Max 22 inch hedge trimmer. I think it has plenty of power for the size jobs as stated it can handle. For me, it is also lighter in weight which helps me a lot, as I am a very short person and weigh 112 pounds. It works absolutely perfect for my use.

I like electric trimmer so much more than my old gas powered trimmer. When I rotate the gas trimmer to edge the driveway it was always dance between flooding the engine with gas or increasing the revs so the engine would continue to run. Now, with the electric trimmer all I need to do is rotate the trimmer shaft and edge the driveway. It is light years ahead of the gas trimmer.

I was able to edge my lawn and cut grass that my mower could not get too. No cord makes it very convenient to use. It cannot be accidentally turned on because of the safety mechanism.
