Exactly what I expected. I was able to trim back the briar patch and small tree limbs encroaching on my property. Was out back cutting for nearly an hour and seem to have plenty of power left. The power boost is a very useful feature, as I got stuck a few times trying to cut too big of a limb. Will easily cut thru 1/2 to 3/4 inch wood. The trimmer was actually lighter than i expected. Looking forward to working on the hedges this summer with this beast.

Almost no assembly required. Just the guard had to be assembled. I do wish the trigger had a lock on, so you didn’t have to hold the trigger constantly. Our old electric Black and Decker with a electrical cord, had this feature.

Really pleased with the 40v hedger, works as well as the corded one I used before. Battery lays long enough for me to trim all of the hedges in my yard. Small hedges around the front of the house and a few in the back, but also the wall of hedges I have at least 100 foot and around 8 foot high. I also have a black and Decker 40v weed eater and blowerand have been very happy with all of them.

I have only used it once so I do not know how it will perform over the long term. However, it was easy to assemble and was ready for use in about 15 minutes. I had already charged the battery. The price was great as it includes a battery and charger. It did a great job of trimming my hedges which have some thick branches. I was very pleased with the performance and handling.

FedEx delivery was terrible!! I won’t purchase on line from Home Depot as long as FedEx is their carrier. The B/D hedge trimmer is good other than the “hand shield” keeps falling off.

This has been the best trimmer I’ve ever owned. It cuts like a hot knife through butter. Whenever I would hit a larger branch, I used the super power button, and it cut right through. The cutting blades are also straight, which means they can be easily sharpened, which I could never do with the ones with the angled cutting blades. When those got dull, that was pretty much the end. I purchased an extra battery for this unit, but it did my entire yard of cutting with one charge. So I guess I have a spare one now. I would highly recommend this unit to others. Black+Decker has really come up in the lithium-Ion battery market. I own several of their tools, and have never had a single problem with any of them. The battery’s last for so long that it seems almost unbelievable. Thanks Home Depot for bringing us the newest and best products.
