Used it twice so far. First time out it worked great and as advertised. However the second time out it began to shut down every 10 to 15 seconds for no reason. I noticed other reviews had the same problem. If I adjust the speed a little higher it did not cut out as often. Battery charges fast and holds the charge well. Jury still out on this product.

The trimmer was pretty easy to assemble. It has enough battery power to do our whole yard, including edging sidewalks. It’s lightweight and easy on the shoulders. It would be nice if it could use a more robust line such as the one we have on our gas powered trimmer.

My older black and decker grass trimmer’s motor burned out after a couple years of heavy use. (To be expected, electric motors tend to burn out quickly with a lot of use. ) This replacement was perfect, since I already had 2 perfectly good 40v batteries. I did not want to pay the extra expense in buying another trimmer with a battery.
