Bought a vacant 1910 house three yrs ago and this tough trimmer whipped it all into shape. “Mowed” entire half acre 12″ lawn, vines, small SHRUB removal, edging. For two years I usually didn’t use the 24″ mower, as this trimmer was as fast and the lawn was gorgeous. No one could believe I didn’t use the mower. I even used it to trim off new growth on hedges! 30+ minutes battery life,so nice to have two. I have not…in THREE hard use yrs…had to add string! The trimmer is still going, but one battery finally died. Despite how hard I have used this machine, still runs great, no repairs ever. I may have to name it as it’s like a member of the family at this point. I’d give it SIX stars!

I have had this product for 3 weeks.The light weight of the trimmer makes it easy to handle and operate. Enough power for the trimming and edging I have to handle. I trim for about 20 to 30 minutes without tiring. The one feature I find difficult is retracting the edger guide back to the store position after edging. Pulling both sides of the guide outward to move it back is hard. The previous B & D trimmer/edger I owned prior to this model was a breeze to move the edger guide up and down.

the trimmer handles well but battery time (20 minutes) is too short. it runs out before I can finish around my house. my other (craftsman) cordless trimmer) I am replacing held for around my house AND my yard for a good long time, and still had charge left (usable for my next weekly trim. fyi–your sales rep who took my order online was VERRY helpful in helping me get a fair sale price for your unit. hope home depot’s customer service is as helpful if needed in my future for the product.

I’ve heard complaints about the battery not having enough run life per use, but I haven’t had a problem. Anyway, that’s why I chose the online version of the trimmer. You get two batteries with the online version for about the same price as the one-battery model in the store. I have yet to need the second battery to finish trimming both the front and back yards.
