Well, this is my 3rd Black & Decker 20 volt trimmer in 7 years. I keep buying them because I have so many B & D 20 volt batteries. The first one broke after 1.5 years and was replaced for free. The 2nd one finally gave out last fall. This new one is charged and ready to go. The batteries also work in my B & D drill and leaf blower.

Good value with the 3 replacement spools. Not meant for heavy weeds but does the job trimming after mowing. No problem with battery life but I have an extra charged battery handy just in case. I also like that the trimmer stores smaller than actual working size so it fits on a small shelf in the garage.

Husband loves it though the battery didn’t last long enough to do our whole yard. It lasted about an hour and a half. However he wasn’t exhausted by the end of it and it took out a lot of overgrown grass.

Just bought earlier this month and have already used several times. I’m never satisfied with how short a period of time a lithium battery lasts on these trimmers, even after charging the full amount of time required, but, I did notice with this one, that if you use it immediately after the charging is done, you get about 5 minutes more use out of it. Just hope that continues to be the case. Added bonus was the discount in the additional charge for the 3-pack of spools. Easy enough for a middle-aged woman to assemble and use. Doesn’t cut well through bushes and vines, but I wouldn’t expect a battery operated one to do so. It works great for grass and weeds and is perfect for my small stature. Would definitely purchase again.
