I had the older model 2 speed B &D weed eater and used it for 5 or more years. Loved it. When it died I bought this newer 2 speed model. I don’t think it cuts as well. But my old batteries work with this model so I’ll keep using it. Hoping when I replace the line with the twisted kind it will cut better. Little disappointed but not enough to return it.

Easy to use and has great options. I’ve used B&D grass trimmers for over 6 years and this model has all I need for a medium sized lawn. The head rotates for wheeled edging, the line is advanced with a button touch and the length of the trimmer adjusts- just in case my wife decides to give it a go. I purchase pre-wound spools because they last longer and don’t tangle. I have extra batteries if needed but haven’t needed yet.

The trimmer works great. The customer service and the design of the guard assembly are not great. Due to excess plastic on the guard, the connection did not snap/fit together. (The plastic is fragile in that area making this a bad design.) I don’t expect this model to last long.
