I bought this because it is fairly light weight and I thought easy to use. But I have a hard time holding the unlock button in AND pulling on the trigger to run it at the same time. Am I confused about this? Why have an unlock button that won’t stay off while you are running the trimmer? My hand is sore, my arm is too tired to keep doing this…

This B and D product seems to be well made–as is to be expected from B and D. I purchased this product to replace my B. and D. Grasshog that provided many years of service. Compared to the Grasshog, this is lighter, more powerful, and has longer lasting batteries. The negative is the operation of the guide for trimming along the edge of a sidewalk or driveway. On the Grasshog, the guide pivoted to line up exactly with rotation of the string. On this model, however, there is a two inch gap between the guide and the rotation of the string. So unless you want a 2″ edge along your sidewalk or driveway, you have to freehand it without the guide. And the line does not self feed very effectively.
