Easy to assemble, lightweight but has no power. Ryobi 40 watts trimmer and edger is much more powerful

Had a issue at first but was resolved by Black & Decker.

This is a strong performer for a cordless product. I was concerned about battery life, but I have over 1/2 acre and the battery is great. We have done the yard twice since purchasing, and the only concern is weight. It is a bit heavy, but then I’m 80 years old…

Bought this to match the mower I have. Now I have three batteries and two chargers all compatible

The trimmer works great. Not overly heavy or unbalanced for it’s size. Love the .080 trimmer string. Very seldom needs lengthening or cutting. The push button string adjuster sure makes it easier than bumping. The 60v battery lasts at least 1/2 hour of steady running (haven’t had to run it any longer than that for my yard). Overall, I am very satisfied with the unit.

Pleased with this trimmer, light weight and very effective. Battery life is not so long but that is nt a problem, charges quickly and I get work breaks.

Hate the bump string. Always a hassle. Entire mess flys off. Have to rewind and start over. It works well otherwise. The continuous line feed is so much better. Most likely return it. And it takes on weeds like crazy. Then runs out of string and…..

After purchasing this product in September 2018 I ran out of spool this month May 2020 and went to depot to find out they do not carry replacement spools and the one they do carry does not fit the product as they advertise. Very disappointed that I cannot order a replacement spool online or in store. I had to call black and decker for the part.

After having just about EVERY “ELECTRIC” trimmer on the planet, I FINALLY found the BEST of the BEST Battery trimmers.NOW, UNDERSTAND that this is NOT for the “lower 40 acres” THIS, is for a normal home with normal trimming needs.AND…A-L-L “ELECTRIC” (as in battery powered) units are a LUXURY that in this case, returns WAY MORE HAPPY then A-N-Y worthless, gummy, mix and go, leaky GAS powered trimmer and sure beats the heck out of dragging a CORD around too.THIS BABY has the POWER and if you pair it with RINO TUFF .080 string YOU will actually LOOK FORWARD to YARD WORK again !!(Add the EGO all electric MOWER and BLOWER (and yes SKIP their trimmer for now) and you will once again actually WANT to do yard work because of all the COOL TOYS you can now play with) !!This baby has 60 BIG VOLTS and it will do just about EVERY trimming job you can think of around a normal home.AGAIN keep in mind that BATTERY POWERED are N-OT the economy way to paly in the yard BUT the F-U-N way !! These are luxury yard toys that return fun in ways that will surprise you !!I bought one for my kids and I have 2 at the different location homes we have and they are just GREAT !!One small word of caution…WEAR EYE PROTECTION A-N-D preferably LONG PANTS when you us this babies !! Once ya get the first piece of stray string hit you will quickly learn how powerful this unit is and why it trims SO nice !

First trimmer line does not always auto feed and you have to pop the top off and pull out the string. Second, the unit is too long. I had an old 20 volt model which was so much simpler to manage and easier to hold. Third, Upon pulling out the string line and starting it up again, it ate all the string line up and I had to pull more out. Fourth, the battery is no better than a 20 volt battery. It lasts only 10-15 minutes max on the highest setting. I was really disappointed in the amount of time it lasted. I thought it would last much longer considering it is a 60 volt. The 2.5ah lithium battery should have been included in this package. I may be returning this and purchase a good old fashioned gas powered. It does have enough power on speed 2 but it is useless if it lasts only 15 minutes max. I need an hour at least. Speed 1 is useless as well. Overall disappointed. Maybe I have a bad battery. But I don’t think I do. To finish my lawn which is under .25 acres, it would require 6 batteries minimum. At $100-$129 depending on the battery, that is outrageous. Two thumbs down. Sorry.

I switched from gas trimmer to cordless. Tired of being beat up by a gas trimmer ( starting, vibration, noise, weight, changing/advancing line). I’ve had this trimmer for less than a month. I have a half acre yard and this trimmer is a champ. I may not be able to finish the whole yard at one time but that’s ok. The battery and I poop out at the same time! It’s quiet, way less vibration, lighter, very powerful for a cordless trimmer! Edging St Augustine grass can be tough but if I keep up with it it’s ok. I would recommend this to anyone tired of messing with gas trimmers.

I use a trimmer regularly (practically daily). I’ve had gas and corded electric trimmers. This, by FAR, is the lightest and most convenient. I knew I would need a lot of power which is why I chose the 60-Volt. The battery runs out quicker than I would like. Overall – love it.

I was looking for a battery powered unit that was powerful enough to trim weeds/grass and edge my yard; and, after a month of use I am very satisfied with this product. Despite its length, and the weight of a 60 volt battery, the unit is fairly light and easy to use and navigate. I have used this on tall grass, weeds and trimming around plant beds. (No real bushwhacking). The rotating head is simple to use and very handy in edging the yard. The cord feeder is a simple one button which stalls turning momentarily as it extends the line. It is an easy process, but I haven’t quite gotten used to the fact that the line doesn’t extend fully to (or attempt to go beyond) the cover plate. Overall, this is exactly as advertised and exactly what I was looking for. Again, I’ve only had this for a little over a month, so I don’t know the durability of this product yet.
