This is my 3rd summer with this trimmer, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. Decided to switch from gas to cordless as I was tired of all the engine maintenance with my gas trimmer. The battery life is more than enough for my suburban yard. I only use the higher power setting occasionally – setting #1 is usually enough. I use generic trimmer line and it’s fairly easy to replace. I maybe replace the line once per season.

The Black and Decker 60v trimmer is the perfect replacement for my old corded trimmer. I was getting lazy about trimming because of the cord and no easy way to vertical edging. This makes both easy with a battery that lasts with lots of power. The self threading spool is an additional plus. When my current electric lawn mower dies in a year or so I can easily see myself replacing it with the 60v version from Black and Decker. My two electric lawn mowers lasted longer than any gas ones.

We purchased this trimmer and I have used it about 4 total times so far. It has much more power than the 40v trimmer I replaced. It has two power setting and if you pull the trigger lighter or harder it also adjusts to that. I find this saves battery compared to my other trimmer that was just off/on. The battery has a feature that shows the remaining charge. I am just now recharging it for the first time after initial charge and I feel that the charge lasts pretty long. The construction seems sturdy and it seems it will last a while for the medium sized yard we have. Out of the box the trimmer was easy to put together and very little hassle. So far,so good!
