This product works perfect for my small wood working project. But it is not for heavy duty work.

I bough my first one in 2003 or 2004. It had been an amazing palm sander. There are multiple settings one may use depending on the sanding application. I used the heck out of this sander and it finally died. The sander is still working great, but the pads are the items that failed after 14-15 years. The rubber just fell apart. I looked up the replacement parts, and to buy them was only $5 less than the cost of buying a new sander. I though, better to have a spare than buy the replacement parts for that price. Less than $4 per year to have a sander that has been a great tool is worth it to me. I think this is a outstanding value.

I am on my second sander of this one, and just contacted Black and Decker on it. Will see what they say. I put this to hard use for my business, and they have held up fine except for the velcro to hold the sanding sheets. So now I am looking at a 3rd one or money back to buy another brand. Not the same Black and Decker of what my father and I grew up with!

I bought this sander to refinish an old table I was otherwise going to throw away. This sander is so easy to handle and was versatile enough to allow for sanding both the flat surface along with the turned table legs.I love it and would recommend it to others.

The multi sander is definitely much better than it’s predecessor, quicker change from sanding to orbiter due to its quick release switch. BUT, that being said, the velcro still peels off too easily for a sander. Just my opinion.

I am a mature female (ie. old), & I needed a sander to do the light sanding around the house before I repainted the outside, esp. the windowsills. It was perfect for my needs. It was a little awkward to put it all together at first, but once I figured it out, it was a snap. I don’t know if it would hold up to a big job, or for a serious hobbyist, but for my needs, it was perfect.

I bought one of these about five years ago in the store. Great for small jobs (deck rails, spindles, window repairs, etc). The mouse extension was the feature that I loved since it got to the hard to reach places. Decided to buy another one. The story begins. The replacement had a piece of plastic on the inside so the part wouldn’t attach – don’t ask me… Took it to Home Depot where one of the customers service reps also tried to pry it out. Had to return it as defective. Bought another one which is working fine. Too bad the stores do not have it in stock. Had to wait two different times – approximately a week for each- it one did not arrive in the THREE day time frame promised. Either way still love the product – to Black and Decker/Home Depot – bring it back to the stores so the consumer can purchase it right away!

have this sander for about 7 yrs. good for projects around the house. presently using it to sand my deck, have used it to sand treads on stairs, worked fine. If you want some thing that a construction person would use, pay more and get something heavier. This is a home tool, doing odd jobs and works just fine.
