I have had this mixer for a pretty long time but I am just now writing a review because although I cook a fair amount I don’t bake as often and just started using it. I’ve had several mixers over the years but I really like this one. I love how light it is — past hand mixers have felt really heavy which made it harder to use. As someone who doesn’t enjoy baking as much as cooking I was worried that I was going to be wasting my time on this product but now that I have used it a couple of times I am sort of hooked! Not only is it a great product but it is a Black and Decker so you know you are getting quality! I would def. recommend this to anyone looking for a new hand mixer!

It’s funny when a company actually advertises its new “slower speed” on the box, but with a mixer, that’s a good thing! It reduces splatter when you’re starting out with messy ingredients that need a slower start before you can turn up the juice. I also LOVE that you can store this in a container with the mixing blades. The only problem is that it really does not snap into place as the directions indicate. I spent way too much time pushing and pulling and attempting to figure out how to get it to snap in, only to finally realize it just doesn’t work. So you just have to be careful when picking it up, and realize that you have to hold it from the bottom container or it’ll fall. Aside from that. a nice unit.

Been using this hand mixer and really like the slower speed settings, which come in handy when mixing dry ingredients, they don’t fly all over the counter. The extra attachments are nice and the plastic case make it easy to store everything together. It seems to be holding up good and is comfortable to hold onto while in use.

I used this for the first time to whip some whipping cream. I LOVE the extra low speed! It did not spray liquid cream all over the kitchen like my old mixer did. And I used it later to whip up a batch of sugar cookies. The dough was rather stiff but this little mixer was strong enough to handle it.

I received my hand mixer during the week. I was very excited to try it out. I love the look of it, its very lightweight too. Its very handy that it has a storage case for the attachments. I’ve used it to make chai biscotti, pretzels and chocolate crumb bars. I’ve tried the different attachments and I’m very pleased with them. I’ll be honest I’m a little concerned about how they’ll hold up long term as I bake several times a week. They seem a little flimsy compared to my old hand mixer attachments. My triplets were very happy with the outcome of the goodies. So time will be the judge of it in the long run. I’d recommend this product for anyone looking for a handmixer

I got the black and decker versatile 5 speed 250 Watt hand mixer and it works great. I really like the sizes of the beaters, they work well in all of our bowls and I like the variety of beaters. The case is an excellent way to store the beaters and the mixer, it is easy to set on the corner of the counter out of the way until it is needed. I like the different speeds and how easy it is to change the speeds. Very happy with it and I am excited to use it more with my baking. So quick and easy to use and the beaters are easy to clean.

It maybe just me but I have never seen a mixer line this with a storage base. I thought it was the coolest ever. I can easily store all accessories neatly and easy to find when I need them. It just pops on with no hassle. Makes for perfect storage in the cabinet. Cones with different sized attachments for different jobs. Smaller than average so less mess stirring. Minimal clean up and survived the dish washer. Made several cakes with this so far and it mixes excellent.

I used this for the first time the minute I received it in the mail!! I was sooooo happy it!! It has so many features and it completely contains its self in the wonderful case!!! The beaters are smaller than “normal” beaters, but they’re longer so stuff doesn’t splash as much. I really love that the lowest speed is slower than most mixers slow speeds. It makes mixing powders in with liquids nice! All in all it is a great mixer.

I received this in exchange for an honest review and I have got to say– WOW. I sincerely expected this to be no big deal, just a way to get a free little mixer since I moved out of my mom’s house. Then I used it to make ginger creams– delicious cookies that are a pain in the a** to mix every year. They have molasses and shortening and like 4 cups of flour it’s always the hardest cookie dough to get mixed. I used this mixer on the 1 setting and they were mixed so easily. I could not believe it if these ever broke on me I would definitely go buy a new one I am in love with this mixer.

I tested this blender on several recipes and the performance was consistent each time. The Black + Decker 5-Speed Electric Mixer has a powerful 250 watt motor that performed well. Cake mixes were easy to mix and came out of the oven with a light, fluffy texture. Potatoes were a snap; easy to mix and the motor did not not pull down like others mixers have done in the past. The potatoes mashed in a flash and turned out perfect.The Black + Decker mixer has a lot of nice features. The dough hooks and a whisk are perfect for mixing up a quick batch of biscuits, gravy and an omelet for breakfast. It even comes with a handy storage bin for the attachments, and the mixer stores right on top of the bin for convenience. I’ll never go searching for attachments again.The Black + Decker mixer is lightweight, easy to hold and the buttons are right at my fingertips. It is easy to handle and doesn’t make my arm tired, or my wrists hurt. There was minimum vibration and noise. I could actually watch television while mixing my cake. I would highly recommend this blender to anyone that wants a good quality product, with a variety of nice features, at a reasonable price. The only thing that I didn’t find with this package was recipes in the instruction booklet. I hope Black + Decker will include a few recipes, in the future, to show how to use the various attachments; especially for new cooks that may have never used a dough hook. I love the whisk though!This is a powerful, sleek blender that has a lot of nice features and it would definitely make a great Christmas, or anytime gift for the cook on your list.

I could have done without the slow setting but loved the mixer especially the attachments. My biggest challenge with appliances is losing attachments but the case for this mixer housed everything so perfectly I was very happy. The mixer itself is pretty standard and a little on the loud side but aside from that I was happy.
