This is a great small saw, perfect for pruning, and small jobs around the house and yard. Very happy I made this purchase, perfect size for me to use safely. Have always had good results with Black and Decker products. Helping my yard look better each time I use it. Not over priced which was nice.

This was a gift, so, I cannot rate it for someone else; however, I bought my husband one many years ago and he has used it often. I will rate the review from our own.

Had a 4 X 8 (3/4″) sheet of plywood I had to cut down to different sizes…worked like a champ! Thinking about cutting up some other lumber so went down to the local H.D. to pick up some more blades just in case I really got into it…guess what…they don’t stock them…and there is nothing there that even comes close to these blades. My suggestion…if you sell the saw…STOCK THE BLASTED BLADES FOR IT! …imo.

It’s a great saw. Light enough to be able to maneuver, powerful enough to cut 1″+ tree branches and the variable speed is a terrific feature. The metal cutting blade and carry bag are both a definite plus. I probably won’t need to ever buy another, but if it was necessary, I would purchase the same tool. Good job B & D!!!

This little electric handsaw worked exactly the way I wanted it to. Great for sawing small limbs and cutting branches up to 3″ diameter. The saw vibrates in the same manner as an electric carving knife.. But, unlike a the carving knife, to get the saw to go through the wood, you must move the saw back and forth like using a manual hand saw. The vibrating blade helps get the sawing done faster and more efficiently than a manual hand saw. After reading all the comments regarding the difficulty in attaching the blade, and accessing the screw inside the switch. I made sure that I had a flat head screwdriver to access the turn screw. I had no problem at all getting the saw blade securely attached after that. This was a good purchase at a good price.

LOVE this saw! Almost returned could not attach saw to unit watched YouTube Freeheartnow showed how to insert. Chain Saws are scary to me the 3.4 AMP Hand Saw is the next best thing. Buy it you won’t be disappointed.

I cut down some banana trees and trimmed my avocado tree. I love my new saw. I’ m a 67 year old lady who does her own yard work!

Handled itself well, grip is good and easily cuts up to 3/8″ boards. If you use a ten tooth blade you could cut thicker but have to go slow – unit doesn’t heat up using it normally.

The saw is great, but as many others have noted, the directions for installing the blades leaves much to desire and a whole bunch of luck. Once installed I was able to cut three 2-3″ trunks in the commercial time of the 6:00 news. I’m a 65++ female.

I was shipped this in a box that was held together by packaging tape. Two possibilities a returned item or UPS tried to save a falling apart box (it was the original box not placed inside a shipping box). New blades for sure but Saw not 100% sold it was never handled. In reviews I saw several people returned due to not being able to insert/attach blade – I think I got one of these with new packaged blades. So the next 30 min struggled with attaching blade. Saved by watching a youtube video thank you lady who made it. The metal slot inside has to be turned (knew that from reviews) but the video said you have to depress the release blade button while you turn that metal slot with the screwdriver! Got blade in no thanks to large instruction sheet from manuf. If not for the pandemic I would have taken the bus and returned this suspected returned item and exchanged for a new unopened box (none in stock in my store). I will have to count on the 2 year warranty as my safety net. The lightweight is good for my arthritic hands and cutting thicker branches my pole branch trimmer can’t.
