i absolutely love this thing the first night i got it i read the instructions and it was very simple it has a browning feature that i adore, the first night i made pork ribs and pressed the browning button and kept the lid off as instructed in the manual it made my house smell so good it took about 30 minutes to cook them completely and it when i took it out the the meat just fell right off the bone and it was delicious i would definitely recommend this to a friend it so easy to use and simple to clean i love it

This is my first pressure cooker. I have never used one before. I was a bit nervous to cook with it at first, but it is so easy to use. It really cuts the cooking time too. I can cook a pound of not frozen chicken breasts in 10 minutes. Frozen in about 20. When it’s cooking, there’s nothing to do. I don’t have to stir, flip, or check on it at all. So I can make whatever else while the chicken is cooking. One of our to make in this pressure cooker is shredded chicken – plain or seasoned. For seasoned I put the chicken breasts in the pot, sprinkle some Italian seasoning on them, and then pour a can of Rotel on top. Set the meat cooking option for 10 minutes. Once the time is up I hit for the quick steam release. Chicken is ready to serve as a main dish or can be broken into large chucks or shredded to add to pasta, rice, salads, soups, or other recipes. I like to turn on the browning feature for a couple of minutes to reduce the liquid a bit to mix it into the shredded chicken. Also wonderfully cooks pork, pot roast, grains, beans, soups/stews, etc. The BLACK + DECKER™ 6-Quart Pressure Cooker also cooks rice, steams, slow cooks, and keeps food warm. It truly is versatile and replaces multiple kitchen appliances. When I’m done cooking with it, cleaning is quick and easy. The durable metal cooking bowl has a nonstick surface that’s dishwasher safe as are the included trivet, rice-measuring cup, and nonstick-friendly serving spoon. The lid is fully removeable and just needs wiping down with a warm soapy sponge, then rinsed. A manual and recipe book come with this pressure cooker. I am a big fan of using pressure cookers- given my always-on-the-run lifestyle, I look for things that can make my life faster and easier. I have two manual pressure cookers but this Black and Decker – 6-Quart Pressure Cooker puts them to shame! There is SO much you can do with it. Make soup, rice, sweet dishes, chilli, mashed potatoes, curries, lentils- you name it! I find this cooker most useful for preparing one pot meals- less cleaning and less prep time. Also, the cooker has been designed with a number of safety checks that give me piece of mind. The cooker comes with a Cookbook with a lot of useful recipes- one suggestion would be to time your own recipes- the recipe book doesnt seem to give accurate time measures. Overall, I love it and look for more recipes to try in it!

I recently got a pressure cooker to try, as I don’t have as much time lately to cook as I get home from work late. So, I decided to try a pressure cooker. Boy am I glad I chose this one. From what I have heard, the old fashioned pressure cookers can be very dangerous. This one has many safety features on it so I think it is much safer. I decided to first try chicken in this. I first put the raw chicken in, and put it on brown. It took around 10 minutes and then I checked it. The chicken was half cooked already! Impressive! I then put it on the meat selection, which said it would take around 20 minutes. Well, I have to say I was quite impressed! Within a half hour, I had a ready made chicken dinner!It was cooked just right, and had the same great taste as if it had been cooking all day long.This Black & Decker pressure cooker has quite a few settings too! It can be used as a rice cooker, a pressure cooker, slow cooker, for soups & stews, steaming and so much more! It comes with a removable bowl for easy washing, and also comes with a steamer basket and a large plastic spoon.I am very impressed with this pressure cooker and happy to have an easy solution for quick meals that taste great! I would and have recommended this pressure cooker!
